I researched it long time ago. Could not find that J.J. Pershing true or not. But, it aapeared that the Brits actually did and they found out that the Moozies fear that more than anything.

I went to Bing and researched "General Pershing and Muslims". On their "images" page there were some (at least three) images of newspaper front-pages from the time. They all said that is what occurred. Interestingly, when I went to pull up (not just enlarge) the image, it said "image has been pulled by...." I'm wondering if any of the ace researchers here has access to newspaper archives that are that old.

So, yeah, it looks to be true. I'm not surprised. At that HS military academy, the lads would've studied military history and probably found all the more sensational stories.

Sad thing is, the thought masters have decreed this to be "urban legend".
