I don't want to point out anyone or any side as it is steady from both. I want to take a moment to ask all freepers (I'm guilty too) to stop treating each other like the enemy. Trump, Cruz or whoever wins the nomination will be a huge improvement over our current administration. It is terrible that we have started questioning each other's conservatism, Christianity and intelligence in this debate. I would ask all sides to refrain from such comments as it doesn't further our common cause. I would also like to apologize for any part I have played.
There are professionals posting on the board. You’re not going to get them to stop. :)
Circular firing squads. It’s what we do. /Geico commercial mode.
I agree.
There’s plenty to talk about when it comes to Hillary.
She’s the one we need to concentrate on, all stop.
I’m a Trump supporter but whomever of the GOP candidates gets the nomination will get my vote.
Think of the Supreme Court.
There is no other option.
Amen.
Contrary to so many who are getting so caught up and offended in all of this...and in danger of forming circular firing squads...
The real goal it to win the Whitehouse and fundamentally change the direction the country has been put on by Obama. To do that we simply must not allow Sanders or Hillary to win...and, IMHO, to really do it, we need either Cruz or Trump to win the Whitehouse...though I think Carson would suffice as well.
Having said that, if it come down to Sanders or Hillary versus any of the GOP candidates, I would vote for the GOP nominee. I certainly will not cry over spilled milk if Cruz does not make it and then go home.
We simply cannot afford to do that.
My own order of preference at this point is probably:
Cruz
Trump
Carson
Rubio
Kasich
Bush
Realistically at this point, I honestly believe Trump is in the driverâs set with Cruz probably the only one who could really challenge him.
I am fine with that. Having Trump and Cruz going into the convention with either of them having a majority of delegates, or having that majority together is something I can live with in any case.
Good luck with that.
You are exactly correct.
I suspect paid trolls are working hard to keep us at each others throats.
I follow the FOREX and as a result read every piece of news or financial reports coming from the Fed.
basically, over 40 statements or reports sent out a GLOWING STUNNING story of an economy that’s rocking and rolling baby.
So far the world isn’t buying it or the EUR/USD would be at 1.05 already. perhaps it will in weeks to come, i dont know.
If we DONT DEFEAT these guys, the propaganda not seen since some of the darkest days in history will continue and we will continue to decline into the abyss.
Some of the reports are laughable.
like your guy. LOVE your guy. Dont hate the other person’s guy.
Except Bush and Kasich :)
I’ve never seen a Trump supporter say that they’ll vote democrat if Cruz or whomever is nominated, but I’ve seen plenty of anti-Trump people say they’ve vote democrat or stay home. Of course, there may be some Trump supporters who have threated that as well, I just haven’t seen them.
I’ll vote for whomever wins the nomination, I’d even hold my nose extremely tight and vote for Bush if it came to that. I would NEVER consider voting democrat or staying home.
I prefer Trump, because I think he’s the only one who will take the fight to Clinton or Sanders or Biden.
Probably not. The best thing you can do is to be the type of poster you want to see.
Bingo
Oh, I don’t know. . .we have a contest of two very different kinds of titans. When is the last time the Republican party boasted even one titan?
I’m thoroughly enjoying it all. If we want scrap among ourselves in the process, well that’s all part of cheering for titans.
These men are both leaders and inspire loyalty. I just don’t see it as a bad thing.
I have never insulted my opponents and I totally agree with your wishes. Would that we, as fellow FReepers, live to our highest ideals! Courtesy and consideration rather than insult and vituperation, PLEASE!
I think you might want to review your article posting history before trying to jump on this thread. Your are one of the people this thread is directed at.
So far I like Trump better. There are a few reasons. I’m angry with the ruling class republicans, the news media, legislators, and I like that no matter what they say Trump can win the moment. I believe Trump will pull in the numbers from the other side. I recognize my support for him is a reaction. I have been very disappointed with his attacks on Cruz as well as the Cruz attacks on Trump. I think Cruz should replace Justice Scalia on the USSC. I think no matter who wins they will have my vote.
I agree but first can we get the candidate s to stop calling each other liars?
Hopefully this p*ssing contest ends by SEC Tuesday.
It can’t come too soon for me.
I’ve said a million times I’ll vote for Cruz if he gets the nomination, and I don’t care if people don’t like Trump, it doesn’t make me hate them, and I try to stay above name calling and the like.
I can be a smug jerk when the same story is posted like 80,000 times, or people submit crap from Salon or HuffPo or some other Libs R Us source just to bash the candidates they don’t like. But I complain about it regardless of who they’re supporting, because it just annoys me.
I think what throws people off is that, for some reason a lot of people take attacks on political figures very personally, so for example someone calls Ted Cruz a liar, a Cruz supporter thinks that, since they support Cruz, they are being called a liar too. Or vice versa, with Trump being a silly clown or whatever.
I think unless someone is specifically saying “HEY YOU, YOU’RE X”, a deep breath and a count to 10 will help you calm down.
