yet millions voted for Barrack next !!! Teds have historically performed better in Republican nomination contests than Democratic ones. It's important to know your audience. ;)

FYI.
âDaveyâ Crockett Hated being called Davey. He preferred David.
That’s right. In the mid 1950’s I learned that when I received my Walt Disney-Fes Parker “David Crocket” coonskin cap in the mail. LOL

It’s another parallel to Barack *Hussein* Obama: he’s not muslim, don’t use his middle name! It’s raciss.
Call him Ted, not by his real nombre that sounds like he just floated 90 miles on an inner tube ... at least until after the election.

I used to work with a guy named Giovanni Pasquale. For some reason, everyone called him “Tony”.
I guess we all figured that all Italians were named Tony.

Same reason Carlos Estevez calls himself Charlie Sheen.
He wants to “fit in”.

it is not unusual for immigrants to “Americanize” their names. Think ellis island.
Children can be cruel to an easier name would make sense.
Marketing wise it is better branding (calculated) to go with Ted (common for Theodore) than Ralph (often slang for vomit).

John Ellis calls himself Jeb.
James Janos calls himself Jesse Ventura.
Marion Mitchell called himself John Wayne.
