Vanity

When I was supporting Mitt Romney during the 2012 election, I was told I might as well leave Free Republic.

That attitude on the part of some got Obama a second term
To: Retired Chemist
Even though I don’t support Romney, I don’t think Romney supporters should be kicked out etc. People can argue their point.

I don’t think it’s pointless. He is saying if Romney beat Obama, he’d choose a better replacement than Obama would. We can agree or disagree.

When I was supporting Mitt Romney
Why do you think Mitt Romney would have nominated a reliable conservative vote to the SC? I have no such confidence. A president masquerading as a "moderate" conservative who governs as a liberal (as Romney would have done) would have done far more to demotivate conservative voters and harm the conservative cause than an outright leftist.
To: Retired Chemist
Are you talking about supporting Romney in the primary, or the general?
Because if you were talking the primary, apparently Romney wasn't electable enough.
To: Retired Chemist
Kinda like where were you on 9/11....
My bro called from CA to tell me of his passing...we think it’s that important.
To: AnotherUnixGeek
I'm guessing he would have nominated a Souter or a Kennedy.
I think we just got lucky with Clarence Thomas. Bush might never have nominated him, if he knew what he was truly like.

Dude, if you believe that EVERY FREE REPUBLIC denizen voting Romney (instead of not voting) would have thwarted Obama, you were sampling some of the chemicals before retirement.

Mitt Romney and Rubio would have passed a Dream act. 2, 4, 6 million Democrats registered.

How about making this one sentence post as a reply on an existing thread?
Why make an entire new post and clog up the forum?

Willard only nominated left-wingers for the bench. If you think he’d have supported a Scalia, you picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue.
