We had an operator who somehow figured out how to get fractions of pennies, from rounding calculations, deposited into an account he had opened up for himself. Would have gotten away with it but the teller he went to knew who he was and when she saw his balance became suspicious. How could an operator have this kind of savings?

The savings & loan didn't want it to get out that this had happened, so they just let him go, but warned him not to use them as a reference.

It amazed me how quickly those rounding fractions mounted up. I was a programmer, and I didn't even want to investigate how he had accomplished it. Because I just knew they would prosecute me to the fullest extent of the law, if I tried it.
