This kind of concern trolling is disingenuous in my opinion. It’s not about us supporting a leftist. If we thought he was a leftist we wouldn’t be supporting him. We have just drawn different conclusions than you about Trump’s leanings based on the evidence. Because Trump made a statement supporting this or that liberal position 10 years ago is not proof that he’s a liberal. It’s just one piece of evidence among many as to where he stands.
I acknowledge that Trump’s past, like most people’s is a mixed bag which doesn’t give a clear yes or no answer about his political leaning at first glance. But to speak about Trump being a leftist as established fact is dishonest. You’ve come to your conclusions based on the evidence and your judgment. We’ve come to ours, and our conclusions are not based on willful blindness, hero worship, or ignoring of the facts as you claim. We would take you more seriously if you acknowledged that our arguments that Trump is not a leftist, are reasonable even if you don’t agree with them.
There are reasonable arguments that could be made, that Trump is a leftist but in our opinion, once you examine things more closely, the contrary opinion, that Trump is a center right candidate who is motivated by patriotism and the desire to do right, is more reasonable and compelling. You’d do better to acknowledge that our position has a rational basis and at least acknowledge that, even if you ultimately disagree with our conclusions.
Drink Kool-Aid much do you?
Rush is wrong.
Sorry to tell you but he isn’t always right.
My reason for not supporting Trump is his pattern of inconsistency; he has no guiding philosophy other than “whatever works.” As such, voting for him is choosing the proverbial pig in the poke. I don’t want to be governed according to whatever wild hair happens to be tickling his backside on a given day.
