I like you, because you ask fairly simple questions.

Look at it this way....why do ultra rich donors give millions to career politicians?

Despite Cruz^s attacks on his party^s donor class and establishment, the Texas senator Ted Cruz^s GOP campaign has received $37 million from just four donors.

The Wilks family of Cisco, Texas, New York hedge fund tycoon Bob Mercer, Texas energy investor Toby Neugebauer and Illinois manufacturing moguls Dick and Liz Uihlein.

What do you think their motive is? To push the cheap labor express, which makes bigger profits for them! Tax cheat Mercer is counting on president Cruz to institute VAT tax which will save him hundreds of millions in taxes.

On the other hand, Trump has actually LOST LOT OF MONEY by running for president. He lost many very profitable contracts with corporations. He gave up $200 million income from his successful TV show.

Why is Trump doing this? It can’t be for making more money. He has already given a ton of money by entering politics. I am willing to assume main reason is HE LOVES THIS COUNTRY, which has given him so much. Of course it does not hurt that he will gain in legacy for ever.

And how are these people worse for the country than Trump, who has been bragging about all the special favoritism he's purchased from politicians over the years?

If suddenly, Bob Mercer decided he was going to become a politician instead of buying a politician, would he suddenly be above the buying and selling of politicians and be viewed as a noble rich man out to save the country?

Honestly, the logic of saving some rich guy the expense of buying politicians by giving him the political office still only looks beneficial to the billionaire, not to me and not to my country.
