Totally agree with the original post. For years I have read Freerepublic and even gave it a plug the other night along with TheStream.org in my Bible Study.

I am concerned about the nastiness of the Trump supporters on the site. I also totally disagree with the “I will support either Trump or Cruz” mantra. From where I sit I strongly support Cruz; would never vote for Trump, and would vote for Carson or even Rubio or even hold my nose and vote for Kaisich or Bush. I do not trust Trump and feel like the would be the second-in-a-row Narcissist in the White House.

From where I sit the choice for America is between God’s total judgment and someone who will be willing to acknowledge God’s sovereignty and the covenant embraced by our forefathers to honor God in our national and private affairs. We have not been perfect as a nation; however God has blessed us and helped us walk through many deep transformations including slavery. God bless and help the American people to wake up and realize the seriousness of the electoral decisions facing us this year.

There's plenty of nastiness coming from both sides

Another thread going has an anti-Trump poster calling other FReepers idiots and telling them that they should leave this site and go to DU.

I honestly don't see as many personal attack against Cruz supporters. Cruz, the candidate, yes. But not so much on his FReeper fans

YMMV

The nastiness goes both ways. As a Cruz supporter myself, I am appalled by the horrible behavior of some of Cruz supporters.

When Sarah Palin endorsed Trump, some of the Cruz posters went insane and hurled vile insults at her which would make the leftists at MSNBC proud. The bad behavior goes both ways, believe me.

I’ll vote for two candidates:Cruz and Trump. Why? Because of the Immigration crisis. Immigration is the most urgent issue of our time and open borders candidates should NOT be tolerated.

The fact that you would vote for traitors such as Rubio, Bush and Kasich says that you don’t care about the survival of our country.

BTW, Cruz is only a man, not a messiah.

“I am concerned about the nastiness of the Trump supporters on the site.”

I’m a Trump supporter. I never call Cruz supporters names & I have zip to say about Cruz except that I will vote for him in the general if he is the nominee. That being said, I sure have been called lots of names by Cruz, Bush, GOPe, etc, supporters. My response is always the same: “name calling = zero credibility.”

Go Trump!

You are sadly mistaken if you think Trump supporters have cornered the nastiness market. Saturday nite, a thread I was shut down due to Cruz supporters...
