I read the article. There is so little known about Valentine (if he did indeed exist) that I would not be opposed of eliminating it. It’s mostly celebrated as a commercial holiday for card makers and purveyors of chocolate anyway.
I thought the history of X and Os was very interesting. I never knew the history behind X beside a signature.
