JRB's name was kicked around before Alito was handed up.
She's black, was on the bench out on California, and is overall conservative.
However, she was very weak on 2A, granting no relief to California appellants citing 2A. California's constitution has no equivalent to 2A, and JRB would not recognize that 2A is "self-incorporating" i.e. binding on state constitutions, even before one considers that 14A incorporates the entire BoR to all the States.
JRB is strongly conservative but very weak on 2A.
