The foot is the 13th to wash up on B.C.'s coastline since 2007 and 10 of those feet have been identified as belong to seven people.
The coroner says that in all of the cases where feet have been identified either accident or suicide was involved.
Sooke RCMP and the Coroner are investigating. It is too early to say if the situation is suspicious, police said.

Vancouver, we have a problem.

I hate when my disembodied feet wash up on an island.
Read about this somewhere earlier today.
Seriously weird, for certain.
What the?
Aliens, and not the illegal type.
drowning, wearing a running-type shoe that floats. Body comes apart, foot floats away inside floaty shoe?
ROFL!!!!!
well, you only have yourself to blame. :)
Apparently, fish won’t eat the part of the food covered by a shoe. I saw this somewhere - there were several feet that had been found that were still in shoes. Almost all were identified by DNA and they were known to have drowned or fAllen off of a boat.

My favorite African story actually happened after I left the country. An American executive took a job over there, and on his very first day, the newspaper headlines read: “Three Headless Bodies Found”.
The next day: “Three Heads Found”.
The third day: “Heads Don’t Match Bodies”.

"We're here about the feet."
Have heard about these before. Always reminds me of the scene in Jaws where the guy’s leg gets bitten off and sinks to the bottom.
Poor soul.
"There's Evil, Afoot! EEEEEEVIL!"
