Tonight I walked onto the subway and saw the car was half-empty because a stinking bum was lying on a seat, and no one wanted to smell him.
Rome fell. New York is falling down. It is filled with illegalities and filth as a result of the good intentions and failed ideas of liberals. Politicians pretend to want the best while they deliver the worst.
De Blasio and New York City Council speaker Melissa Mark-Mark-Vivirito have decriminalized public urination and quality-of-life offenses. Are they kidding? De-civilizing a beautiful city is not a positive. It is a fall from grace.
The Broken Windows theory states that small crimes lead to major crimes. De Blasio and Mark-Vivirito should study sociology. Their ignorance is ruining our city.
They pretend to be kind to the poor while they destroy their lives and leave them scantily clothed with no toilet paper on street corners. They whisper sweet things in bums ears while they throw their lives into sewers.
De Blasio and Mark-Vivirito want to lower the quality of life in New York. They are doing a good job at making New York into a third-world country.

Go ahead. Bite the Big Apple, don’t mind the maggots.
It’s all part of de Blasio’s plan.
And it’s all Trump’s fault!
Actually, I ride the subways all the time and they are still clean and wonderfully air-conditioned in summer and heated in winter. Bicycles on the subway? I haven’t seen too much of that - it’s generally the double wide baby strollers that take up all of the room and the bulky shopping bags and backpacks. Hardly a third world problem.
Still the best bet to get around NYC.
You got rats on the West Side
Bed bugs uptown
What a mess this town’s in tatters, I’ve been shattered
My brain’s been battered, splattered all over Manhattan
“Ya got rats on the West Side bedbugs uptown, what a mess...” Perhaps the MTA can have the subway cars and busses retrofitted with graffiti. They can procure spray paint cans and commission a bunch of Dundu Nuffins to create some “artwork”. Hey, it’ll give the inner city yutes a chance to “turn their lives around”, won’t it?
Escape from New York.
Not just a movie.
Also the future.
Shadooobie!
I had a great aunt who grew up in NY City in the 1940’s and 50’s, the child of middle-class professionals. Not wealthy, but certainly knew how to behave in public.
I saw photos of her - she wore gloves out-of-doors. She rode the subway daily to her job as a secretary downtown. She looked like Grace Kelly. Of course, men all wore hats.
I couldn’t imagine such a scene on NYC’s subways today.
All that glitters is not gold.
THEN I saw in my dream, that when they were got out of the wilderness, they presently saw a town before them, and the name of that town is Vanity; and at the town there is a fair kept, called Vanity Fair. It is kept all the year long. At this fair are all such merchandise sold as houses, lands, trades, places, honors, preferments, titles, countries, kingdoms, lusts, pleasures; and delights of all sorts, such as harlots, wives, husbands, children, masters, servants, lives, blood, bodies, souls, silver, gold, precious stones, and what not.1 And moreover, at this fair there are at all times to be seen jugglings, cheats, games, plays, fools, apes, knaves and rogues, and that of every kind.
2 Here are to be seen, too, and that for nothing, thefts, murders, adulteries, false-swearers, and that of a blood-red color.
John Bunyan -- Pilgrims Progress
Suck it up, big boy. You live in the city now.
Great song.
Keith Richards may not be a model for our youts, but IMHO he is the master of an effortless guitar hook and instrumental bridge. That song is a perfect example.
Didn’t take long for Bloomberg and DeBlasio to undo what Rudy did for NYC.
Maybe instead of Bloomberg thinking of running for president of somewhere, he should use some of his money to help with the situation of New York, after all he was a 3 term Mayor of that City....
But that’s probably to ‘low classed’ for someone like him to do....
Atlas Shrugged is now nonfiction.
“...she wore gloves out-of-doors.”

As a kid who lived on Long Island in the 1960’s I made frequent trips with my family into Manhattan.
The men of that era would literally wear a suit just to go the corner store to pick up a quart of milk. White shirt, tie.....the whole nine-yards.
People were different back then, especially the older generations.
And no one had tattoos, unless they were in the Navy or a former Navy enlisted man.
The left has gained virtual control over the lives of Americans. Their control will NOT be overthrown by normal political methods; i.e. elections, recall etc.
