Thomas Guide rocks.

Best Map book around!

Did you know that Thomas guide puts an error on every page they print (sat next to a guy on a plane once who worked for them). They do this to prove copyright infringement.

One example: That river that flows through downtown LA, the San Antonio river...

So in other words every map they make is knowingly incorrect?

I believe all the map makers do that. I found some such errors on other brands.

Publishers of atlases and gazettes have been doing this for a long time. They insert one fictitious town in the middle of nowhere. The image of people arriving at a town that doesn’t exist is kind of funny, but they have to do it. A lot of work goes into those publications.
