OK--was at Mall of Georgia and I was accosted by a pair of foreign-accented women trying to inveigle me into trying their filthy cosmetics at their kiosk. They were insulting and rude and I walked off. Then in the second story was another kiosk with the same behavior! I'm window shopping and they start shouting at me. Rather spoiled my time. Then a few weeks later I'm at a mall in South Carolina and they're yelling at me again, this time with a punk male. Why do the malls allow this? I got definite Middle Eastern vibes. What is going on?
Stope them as sson as they approach you and ask them if they have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and are they born again? They will go away quick.
True words
Your post reminded me of one time I was in the airport. San Francisco, I think. This woman came over and sat VERY close to me and was very spastic, jerking round and invading my space. For some reason I had to sneeze. I said in a fairly loud voice to the person I was traveling with “I told you this was the flu. It’s getting worse.”
LOL the spaz woman immediately gathered her things and moved.
Come to think of it I’ve used that line a couple of times. It always works.
Well, apparently they ARE Israelis? How disappointing! My mental picture of Jews from Israel is a lot more class
âWell, I went to Walmart last weekâ
Love your comment. We were in a store last Halloween and I told my grandson he could buy something for a treat but it had to be something that was made in the U.S. He responded that he guessed he wouldn’t be getting anything then.
You go Girl!
Now that’s funny!
âI told you this was the flu. Itâs getting worse.â
That’s me, to a T. Except that I rarely go to malls. It doesn’t matter where I am though, I never give these types the time of day.
Last summer I was asked to pick up some necessities for my daughter across state line in Kansas. First place I found was a Walmart. I got myself in line behind an African Muslim woman with a shopping cart full of baby formula. She was paying with paper vouchers, not the typical government welfare card. Her stack of vouchers was mind bending. Took me 15 minutes of waiting for all that formula to get rung up.
I’ve never had that happen to me. Of course, I hate malls. There are two kind of near where I live. In the six years I’ve been here I think I’ve been in one once and the other twice.
I’ve had the same experience. They’re ruining shopping in malls.
I went to Wal Mart last Tuesday and ALL the lines were backed up into the store. Took me almost 20 minutes to get to the check-out. Not too many foreigners at that one, but lots of old folks. (I fit right in!)
An afternoon perusing pretty things and maybe buying something is a pleasure that women understand. The new colors, interesting ideas, books and coffee— that the mall owners would tolerate this ugly behavior makes me madder at them than the kiosk thugs.
I really let one have it about a week ago. He kept following me, badgering me. He was definitely foreign but being from NY, I didn’t make eye contact but just told him to get away from me. I’ve had it! I thought I was the only one disturbed by this. Glad to find I’m not alone.
I had a lot of practice ignoring people and saying "no" in my career. I was a Correctional Sergeant.
Yep, all the other Wal Marts in this county are like the one you describe. I’d rather deal with lots of old folks than rude foreigners.
