This situation cries out for a good shotgun.

I believe that *is* Vermie.
Wonder where he has been? The NH primary is milquetoast without him.

It isn't that easy and NO, I don't have a solution.
However I do have personal experience with an individual who developed schizophrenia around the age of 32.
He was a Vietnam combat veteran, then a graduate of the University of Michigan and ultimately a partner in a successful executive recruiting company out of Chicago.
Once the onset of his illness began, he and his partners lost their business and he moved back to northern Michigan. As his illness progressed, he lost his wife, his house and he ended up living on the beach on Lake Charlevoix.
All during this time, his brother, my best friend, tried unsuccessfully to get him institutionalized but could not do so until Skip was proven to be a threat to his own life. Finally, fall and winter came on and Skip was still living homeless on the beach, my friend was able to convince the county judge to authorize Skip to be institutionalized at the state hospital in Traverse City.
A new nightmare began. Skip was institutionalized in a ward with the criminally insane and it wasn't long after that he was attacked and almost beaten to death..........
Eventually he was medicated enough that he was able to be released and the county provided him with housing in Boyne City and a local real estate agent, and high school friend hired him to man the phones. It should be noted that that type of medication, while it controls the schizophrenic delusions, turns the individual into a virtual zombie.
While they're medicated, it's common for the individual to believe they no longer need the medication and will often stop taking the drugs and immediately fall back into delusion...........That happened to Skip on numerous occasions.
In one such episode, he showed up at my apartment just outside Detroit, unannounced after driving 280 miles from northern Michigan, telling me that he had an appointment with the French embassy in Detroit the following morning to discuss a French funded railway system from Detroit to northern Michigan..........
I immediately called his brother to let him know that Skip was at my place and Jack came over later that evening and we sat around talking. I let Skip stay the night and while I had to go to work the next morning, Skip was gone when I got back home that evening.
As a post script, Skip died approx. 6 years ago from a cancerous tumor that developed on his leg because he refused to accept any medical treatment and the laws are such that they couldn't force him into medical treatment.........
Like I said, the system is bad but I don't what the answer is when one considers the constitutional rights of us citizens.......
“The publication also reported Zopittybop-bop-bop homeless and lives mostly off a monthly federal disability check having been diagnosed with schizophrenia.”
Ah yes! You get the infamous ‘crazy letter’ from your friendly ghetto doctor and SHAZAM! $650 a month like magic. All the in-the-know scammers know this one.
It’s tough always being at the end of an alphabetical line.
Is he any relation to the Boston Zopittybop-bop-bops?
Lol! Looks like something Abbott & Costello might do in an effort to avoid their rent-collecting landlord, Mr Fields.
