The Guardian ^ | 2-3-2016 | Tom McCarthy

At the news conference, Trump marveled at how the Cruz campaign had spread the rumor that Ben Carson had dropped out of the race.

"These are dishonest people, these politicians," Trump said. "These are worse than real estate people in New York."

If Cruz knew, or approved, this affront to Dr. Carson, he should be penalized in some way. It would be too costly to caucus once more for all concerned, so the way I see it for those who mentioned having some of Cruz’ delegates be apportioned to Dr. Carson, I think this would be only fair. I’m starting to rethink my opinion of Cruz over this, and if his campaign pulls any similar stunts over the course of this election he should be removed from contention.

[Ted Cruz really struggling to connect with voters in Henniker, NH this morning. Big applause lines falling flat.]

The “praise Jesus” thing not working with the rest of the country??

Oh Lord. Fine. Cruz as President will just be an extension of Obama. Since they have the same background and experience, I guess well survive. God help America. We will need it.

Great analogy from a Trump sycophant...

Cruz was not a community organizer, he was Solicitor General for the state of Texas & argued 9 cases in front of SCOTUS & winning several (involving 2nd amendment rights & religious freedom). He was doing that while Trump was busy changing his party affiliation several times a la Michael Bloomberg, Charlie Christ, etc.

An idol has been broken,

Its face upon the ground,

Now nothing to support it for it tried to wear My crown,

An eagle has fallen and not just for a day,

This counterfeit is where it shall stay.

1 Samuel 5:1-5

5 And the Philistines took the ark of God, and brought it from Ebenezer unto Ashdod.

2 When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon.

3 And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the Lord. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again.

4 And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of the Lord; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him.

5 Therefore neither the priests of Dagon, nor any that come into Dagon’s house, tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod unto this day.

1) It was a mistake-Cruz admitted as such and apologized

2) The Carson rumor wouldn’t have tilted the results at all if much (.25-5% at most seeing that he still got 9%).

3) It sure didn’t give Cruz the win (by 4%!).

4) It the lack of the rumor wouldn’t have given Trump ANY more votes.

5) Sour Grapes?!

So sick of this. He had to convince Kennedy. For God’s sake he had 4 votes guaranteed walking in. Sheesh you act like this was some miraculous job. Not difficult at all.

Well, if it IS true, Trump should be screaming his head off about it. Cruz can hardly be called a conservative if he uses or endorses dishonest and fraudulent election tactics. And not just spin, but at the ballot box too.

If not true, Trump has just made a fool of himself.

So, how true it it, friends?

[argued 9 cases in front of SCOTUS & winning several]

Ok, then how can he transfer these skills to a position that requires EXECUTIVE experience??

That record is indeed impressive, but more suitable for a SCOTUS justice than President.

"These are dishonest people, these politicians,"

But repeatedly claiming Cruz is ineligible to be president is A-OK, according to the Orange One?

Taking the Iowa vote as an example, if you take all the other candidates outside Cruz, Trump and Rubio and split the remaining votes up so that each of the three takes a third, Cruz still beats Trump by four points.

Question is - who of the top three has already peaked?

No, Reagan made deals with Tip O’Niell, because he was the Democrat Speaker at the time.

Totally agree. If Cruz would drop out today, give his delegates to Carson, and ask all the candidates to promise to put him on the Court, I’d be a very happy man.

Reagan got the three things he wanted, the rest was negotiable. That’s pretty much how a President has to approach things, decide which three things are most important and do what you have to do to get them done.

“No, Reagan made deals with Tip O’Niell, because he was the Democrat Speaker at the time.”

Reagan and O’Niell hated each other and fought tooth and nail over everything. It resulted in numerous government shutdowns. So don’t act like it was all flowers and fabric softener between those two.

I don't know if you are looking for a serious answer or are merely a Trump supporter looking for something else but one place to begin to make serious security fences a fact, is to tap into those funds Congress voted to set aside to build such fences and build serious fencing that Israel use Some! They are serious about security, their very lives depend on it and even their liberals understand that! We also only need walls where our security people are being shot at, again, like Israel

And, President Bush (W) signed those bills into law!

Nothing was ever done, those bills were just a sham to fool voters like me and you. Now is a perfect time to drag them out, dust them off and put them to use!

Next, a Pres. Cruz might have to drag out how President Reagan did this when he knew Congress was standing in the middle, refusing to act, he'd take to the microphone and declare that he was trying to do as he promised but the Senate just stalled those bills and were standing in the way of what the people said wanted! Reagan asked the people to call up or visit their Senstor's office - and they did!

Why do you think so many in DC, in both parties, hated Reagan? He went over the heads of Congress, the lobbyists and the media. Reagan knew the power of the American people to get what they want - when they have one person there fighting for them!

We can shut down a porous wall and send millions of illegals packing back home!

We also need to garner support from the black community, who've suffered more from job loss and the importation of drugs to keep them prisoners in their own neighborhoods!

How did Reagan do it? By taking his case directly to the people. Twisting Congress’ arm. But at least he won’t make deals with the very people trump supporters claim to hate.

Well.....be careful......Amnesty was passed with Democratic support and so were a bunch of bills. Reagan didn’t go it alone. And Reagan was likable and personable. Something Cruz lacks big time.

Well good news is Trump will win NH.

I doubt that now. Trump's polling is cratering as I type, and these ridiculous, petulant outburst aren't helping him any.

I've seen third graders act with more maturity.
