Devastated commuters have paid tribute to a beloved moggy known as the Bus Stop Cat after it had to be put down after being kicked.
Missy, the 13-year-old ginger feline, spent her days at a bus stop in Havant, Hants, and was adored by hundreds of commuters who she greeted every day.
Her distraught owner Richard McCormick found her bleeding from the mouth and rushed to a vet.
She had a fractured skull, a broken jaw and that all of her teeth had been knocked out. They had no other choice but to put her down.
Dozens of floral tributes have now been left at her favourite bus stop, along with poignant messages and children's drawing.

yeah, i would tear him apart.
teeth and skull bashed in!?!! it had to be some kick.
that @#$@#$. i hope they find him and for the first time in my life i hope PETA tortures the judge until he gives a jail sentence.
No truer words spoken.
Oddly enough, tonight’s X-Files episode made that very point, abundantly.
What’s wrong with that?
I buy flowers to put on my dog and cat graves every birth and death anniversary. 20 years after. They were beloved to me and it doesn’t diminish my love and flowers for my sister’s big official gravesite, either. Who had her 2 dogs’ ashes buried with her (1 put down just the month before).
Maybe not like dogs can, but many do.
how sad. muslim behavior.
If not for my child, petting my cats would definitely be the best part of my day.
