There was a big gathering of patriots in Burns, OR today and a gathering calling itself 'pro law enforcement' in support of the government side.
Plenty of shouting between the sides. Streaming audio of the events is very fragmented and confusing at this point.
Amanda Peacher, a reporter for Oregon Public Broadcasting noticed that the BLM headquarters near Burns is now sporting a Gadsden Flag underneath the American flag. She posted a pic on Twitter. What gives?
How could he do anything else? I’m sure LaVoy Finicum wouldn’t want them to give up.
Gadsden flag mentioned in article:
“...and militants for the rest of the day.
Ammon Bundy is appealing his detention in federal court Tuesday morning. Last week, a judge denied bail to both Ammon and his brother Ryan Bundy, agreeing with federal prosecutors that they posed a flight risk and are a danger to the community. “

Interesting. He told them to stand down earlier. Or was that just ‘lawyerese/fed speak’?
Is Cliven Bundy this century’s John Brown?
More about that flag at the refuge... Plus another one:

Late Sunday night the Gadsden âDonât Tread On Meâ flag suddenly appeared at the Bureau of Land Management building outside of Hines, Oregon. The flag was hanging below the U.S. flag on the agency flagpole shortly before midnight. Law enforcement arrived shortly after people began to notice it. The flag wasnât present Monday morning.
The flag was designed by American general Christopher Gadsden during the American Revolution, and now is often associated with anti-federal government political movements.

Take a few minutes and watch this video Lavoy Finicum made last August.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGphvnjrBJc
This mans death is a travesty.
I have watched the video of the shooting many times and I would like to know exactly what type of firearm or device the shooter on the left side had.
I do not think Finicum did anything but react to being shot 9 times.
“What gives?”
Planting your flag on turf claimed by the other side is a common tactic in protests as well as in war.
Could signify a split in BLM. Employees who fear for their jobs, surreptitiously expressing support.
OTOH, most likely guerilla tactics by the protestors—in essence saying ‘BLM are the illegal occupiers, not the protestors.’
This is not particularly encouraging. What the whole episode has taught me is that the country i thought I was living in does not exist any more, and although the constitutional republic documents are allegedly still in place, it is really over.
Something new and worthwhile will emerge, yet this action is really frightening and all involved are in mortal danger.
