Must be nice knowing the perfect candidate.
I’m not saying Trump is the perfect candidate but Ted Cruz was instrumental in helping John Roberts attain that seat on the SCOTUS.
True, past performance doesn’t guarantee the future, but I’m tired of hearing one of the main reasons for voting Cruz is the appointment of the next several SCOTUS appointments.
He’s already 0-1.
No, there's no such thing as a 'perfect' candidate, but it's a fact that some are better than others. The primary process is supposed to help us sort that out. Who we wind up with at the end, should be the best of the lot, though even that is no guarantee.
About all we can do is vet these people to the best of our individual/collective ability, then trust that we've made the best decision possible, given the data available and the personalities involved.
