Did you mean to post to me? I was simply describing the data trends in a factual manner ( while I realize it is not a scientific poll/caucus ).
You know, one of the criticisms leveled at Cruz supporters is that we’re “purists” who can’t accept a less than perfect conservative.
And then we’re criticized when our candidate is a less than perfect conservative.
Which, I’ll be the first to admit I haven’t agreed with Cruz on everything. But I’m not looking for the perfect conservative, I’m looking for the MOST conservative. And to many of us, Cruz is the MOST conservative choice. If Trump is the most conservative to you, then by all means, support him. But using Cruz’s support of John Roberts against him is jumping the shark and reeks of desperation. Roberts was shocker to ALL of us. I can’t think of one die hard conservative who saw that coming. Can you?
So moral of the story is, you Trump folks need to decide which Criticism your gonna use again cruz supporters. Are we purists or are we supporting a less than “pure” candidate? Because you can’t have it both ways. Make up your minds.
After reading about how the State of Iowa runs it’s caucus on the Democrat’s side, it’s hard to believe that such a way of picking a possible nominee for President of The United States is happening in America.
Gilmore is surging.
I was standing shoulder to shoulder with you, until Ted voted for TPA and the Corker bill. Then came Goldman Sachs, and his refusal to tell us what he'd do with the 40 million illegal invaders colonizing our country. The question about his NBC status snipped the last thread of support I had for him.
"Most Conservative"? I think that's a designation that Ted has not earned. Far, far from it, given his performance in office, so far.
Listen, if Ted had told us Texans that he wanted to be Senator just so that he could use the position as a stepping stone to the presidency before he'd even finished his first term, a lot of us would have looked elsewhere for a suitable rep.
I feel lied to, and I'm really disappointed in him.
I heard him in an interview say what he’d do with illegals.
If you weren’t paying attention, then that’s on you.
And if the NBC argument is even valid, then why have all 50 states allowed him on the ballots?
I mean even if you’re not capable of figuring that out yourself by doing a MINIMAL amount of research.
I think it’s amazing that without more participants, Trump and Cruz are pulling farther apart by the day here.
I don’t think our caucus matters that much because I am not sure it is even representative of FR with such low turnout. But it is interesting that it is changing so consistently toward Trump.
I think what we're seeing with the low caucus turnout among Cruz supporters, is the irresistible force of electoral momentum shaping their reality.
In other words, a lot of Cruzers on FR are slowly accepting the fact that their candidate has probably slipped too badly to recover, and will probably be out of the race over the course of the next four state primaries.
I imagine they don't see much point in voting in our little group caucus anymore, when the tea leaves say that he's not going to make it in the real world.
I think that's due to a real failure on the part of American citizens to know and understand our nation's history and the Constitution. It's not the Framers' fault that most of us are so ignorant today.
Well, I heard him in an interview where he stated, "We can have a conversation about what to do with those who remain after the border is secured."
Sounds like Ted hasn't read his own position paper on immigration, which clearly says NOTHING about what he'd do with the 40 million foreign invaders who are colonizing our country.
If you really want to know what Ted's position is on the illegals, go back to the statement he made on the floor of the Senate when he was trying to push through his "poison pill" amendment to the Gang of 8 amnesty bill. He was clearly FOR allowing them to stay, and for giving them green cards and some sort of quasi legal status - if not full citizenship.
What a load of smelly obama. As if he didn't know that no court in America would allow an entire subset of legal residents to be rendered second class citizens. As the most brilliant lawyer on earth, he knew that all along, but pushed for it anyway.
Fool yourself if you wish, but Ted is for amnesty, just as sure as you're born.
