You know, Ted's been sort of a 'me too' candidate for some time now. Always seeming to follow where Trump has blazed the trail.
Perhaps he started believing that HE was blazing the trail, and that Donald is actually following him. That might explain why he's stepped into so many holes over the last few months. He really thinks he can do what Trump does, and get away with it.
Problem is, Ted's goofs are actual campaign killers, where Trump does and says things that actually break people out of their stuck thinking, and advance the whole game - even though they seem outrageous at first glance.
Ted just doesn't have the instincts, nor does he have the sort of sharply honed strategic thinking that Trump does. Ted needs to stop hurting himself, and leave the socio/political kung fu to the master.
