Something very interesting happened tonight that hasn't sunk in altogether yet with people more focused on policy: Trump has taken control of the narrative from the media. That's what actually happened tonight.
It hasn't sunk in yet because it hasn't happened in a very long time. Tucker Carlson, of all people, seems to recognize the phenomenon in his latest in Politico, of all places. Like a lot of crumbling empires, it is a surprise to the onlookers just how fragile that control turned out to be. I do not think it will be easily reestablished.
