Sarah Palin hits another out of the park.

Yes, I think she did. Palin is a far cannier political observer than many give her credit for. Something very interesting happened tonight that hasn't sunk in altogether yet with people more focused on policy: Trump has taken control of the narrative from the media. That's what actually happened tonight.

It hasn't sunk in yet because it hasn't happened in a very long time. Tucker Carlson, of all people, seems to recognize the phenomenon in his latest in Politico, of all places. Like a lot of crumbling empires, it is a surprise to the onlookers just how fragile that control turned out to be. I do not think it will be easily reestablished.

Trump has taken control of the narrative from the media.

Exactly.

I expect to see more in the future. Rush has made the same observations.

What Trump has shown is that the factions in the Media can be turned against each other, to the advantage of everyone else. It is Machiavellian and powerful.

The media has maintained control by unity of ideology. But unity of ideology does not work if there is a significant alternate way to communicate and if there is no command structure at the top to unify the defenses.

The old media control is crumbling for lack of a unified command.

This is a most fortunate situation.
