As a former Iowan (born/raised there), it would take a monster storm to keep them getting out for business as usual.

If the first primary of the election were held in a different state the impact on our election would be profound. Iowa is a bad choice. One..the caucus system discourage many from showing up..it is held at night and takes up a lot of time versus balloting. Two..for now corn and ethanol is a big issue...
Three..the ballot is not secret, but by show of hands.
Another state should be first and the GOP should lead the way to changing it.
