Ted Cruz just announced in an Iowa speech (broadcast live by C-Span at 7:10 CST Wednesday) ...
inviting Donald Trump to a one-on-one ("mano-amano" Ted Cruz quote) ...
debate this coming Saturday night ...
at Iowa Western University @ 8:00 PM-EST
moderated by Donald Trump's choice of either Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin or Sean Hannity ...
or all three (if Donald Trump wishes).
Jim Robinson ... since this thread is based on a "live" news event, I'm unable to provide a proper internet link.

. What Cruz is proposing is breaking the rules.
Cruz is very used to breaking the rules. It is in his DNA. It is very natural. Arrogant people don’t think rules are for them.
Trump needs to challenge Cruz to wall building contest.
That should be the response by Cruz and Trump if the RNC doesn't sanction the debate.
1. It’s not allowed
2. It’s not in the leaders interest to debate underdogs
3. Trump is walking the talk
4. Iowa doesn’t hinge on this debate, but winning Iowa is not vital to Trump’s strategy anyway.
5. Rush will never do it, and people would rather shove knitting needles through their skulls than listen to Levin. Or Hannity without a mute button.
Seems Ted is being a little desperate I mean they have debated 6 times already!! What has Ted got up his sleeve??? Makes me wonder, Trump would NEVER agree to Levin ad a moderator!!!

Levine hates Trump more than Kelly does. Also Levin is in the bag for Cruz.
In doing this, Cruz has silently conceded his ownership to Trump.
This is like a husband attempting to appease his wife, when the wife is in a non-communicative mode, after being offended, as wives happen to do so, to the unwitting husband.
this call to debate has been posted here umpteen gazillion times now; you anti-Trumpers need to get some fresh dirt because posting your old dirt over and over and over again is getting REALLY boring.
And BTW, Cruz is simply copying what Jeb Bush tried a month ago:
it’s what losers do. they try to shine in the reflected light of the winners when their own light dims. on the other hand, the shinning winner can only be diminished by sharing his light with a loser, which is of course why winners shun sharing their light with losers.
True. But it would be sweet to see. When it gets down to the final two or three, though, and Trump is still in the race by then, we will get to see Trump get skewered and sliced and diced by Cruz.
Trump doesn't even take advice from God, so don't waste your time.
You don't have to attend every fight you're invited to.
Tell Ted to pay for his own rally and quit riding on Trump’s coattails. If he is out of cash to pay for his own event, he can ask Goldman Sachs for a loan.
Does the son of Mark Levin’s fiancee work for Cruz? Now that would be an independent moderator. LOL!
I would pay to see that one.
Thanks you for that rap reference that perhaps only I got.
(we will get to see Trump get skewered and sliced and diced by Cruz.)
Yeah.... ok. Not a chance!!
Yes, he’s a god. What was I thinkin’ of backing Cruz?
I'm hoping that a lot of these candidates drop out after NH, because I'm looking forward to the same thing. Trump won't be able to hide.
“get to see Trump get skewered and sliced and diced by Cruz. “
Like Trump did to Ted Sachs at the last debate? What a hoser!
#CruzCanucked
Yeah, and not enough Pizza Ranch rallies seem not to be enough for Cruz to win Iowa.
Way to go Cruz. Trump you have been called out, are you going to stand like a man or will you run like a coward?
Sorry it appears Trump already has events covered in Iowa this week. Full schedule.
Maybe Cruz could debate Rush or Glenn Beck?
