Trump on O'Rielly now
Free Republic | 1-27-16 | Me

I'm sorry, Trump is totally unstable. He's whining about Megyn Kelly treats him bad, blah, blah, blah and how great his rally tomorrow is going to be and so on and so on.

Yes, get used to it Donald. If you are elected you will be treated unfairly by 95% of the media.

Quit whining, come to the debate and stand up to Megyn Kelly. If you can't face her, you can't face all the despots in the world you will have to deal with.

I'm convinced the man is totally nuts.

It’s time the MSM learned that they don’t control the narrative any longer. Haven’t you had enough? They did nothing but rip Bush 43 for 8 years - and have done nothing but cover for Obama for nearly 8 years. Enough is enough., And, we’ve had enough debates - enough is enough already. Anyone can look up the candidates’ positions on the internet - we don’t have to hear the same questions over and over again. The DNC only had 3 - that’s plenty. Let them get out on the campaign trail and talk to the voters.

I really don’t think Trump is avoiding being hurt by Kelly. Fox put out this satirical attack on Trump which really stripped away any facade of journalism. At that point Trump decided to punish them and I think he made the right call.

I do wish he was a little more articulate in some of these interviews, But it is very hard to talk with BOR.

There’s got to be a time when someone stands up to this BS and it not only happened once in August it was happening again with the Google / Youtube questions and people they selected to trash Trump... the Muslim chick was comparing Trump to Hitler and yet they decided it was in the best interest of Fox to allow her to ask Trump a question? Yeah no bias there huh?

A good portion of America seems bound and determined to have a New York liberal as POTUS.

Hang in there, Angel, don’t let the zombies get you down.

I call Trump the Blond Obama because of the similarities.

Intense idol worship. Egomania. No core values. Constantly changing positions. Disgusting private life.

Fox attacked him with that immature, idiotic statement and Trump doesn't need the debate. Makes sense.

If Megyn Kelly is truly a journalist, she will excuse herself from the debate tomorrow night.

What makes her think her presence is more important than any of the candidates?

If she is interested in the good of the people, she’ll pass her seat to Brit Hume, Charles Krauthammer, or anyone else on Fox news.

Watched the Trump portion. O'Reilly begging for Trump to reconsider. Lots of Fox money on the line. Trump holds firm. I get a kick out of Ted Baxter trying to advise Trump how to conduct his campaign.

The idea that Trump needs more exposure to the American public is ludicrous. Trump has been on more shows and had more interviews than the rest of the candidates of both parties combined. He has spent 12 years on TV and been a best selling author. America knows Trump and likes what it sees.

Newt, a Fox news contributor, continues the pleading and begging. Follow the money.

I would say the number of megalomaniacs in the White House would be very close to the total number of Presidents.

Kennedy? Johnson? TR? FDR? Obama? Clinton? Wilson? Come on the list of arrogant egotistic presidents is very long, and not all democrats. Nixon? Probably Jefferson.

Bottom line: Trump is going to win, nothing that happens in the 7th debate is going to change that. Megen is done, she got away with the first debate’s antics. But now, by this single act by Trump, it has been relieved how badly the FOX brand has been hurt. My prediction, Megan will be out of a job and untouchable by July.

“Oh no more girls. What’s a Trump to do?”

Well for one thing, certainly not what they tell you to do. That’s chick management 101. They push a man just to see if there’s anything there to push against. The term is called “$h1t testing”.

Its really kind of cute to watch them try it.

Industry gossip on the Trump/Fox matter (explaining O’Reilly’s behavior):

While the debate among a couple of high-profile personalities rages in front of the camera, we hear that there is an even uglier battle going on behind the scenes! What are they fighting about? Tens of millions of dollars! Here’s the deal: Advertisers paid a certain rate to advertise on a certain TV show based on a variety of factors (network, time slot, audience size, demographics, etc.) In the case of the Super Bowl, advertisers don’t make their buys contingent on any one athlete playing in the game. However, in the case of our show, the players – and one player in particular – matter a lot. If the star player doesn’t show, the audience size may shrink drastically, not only for the show itself, but for pre- and post-shows as well. Network executives are refusing to bend to the star’s demands to ensure his attendance. Angry advertisers are threatening to pull out of ad buys if network execs don’t deliver the star and the audience. Everybody is unhappy and yelling at each other. What’s at risk? Almost $20 Million!

Why is God’s name did he go on O’Reilly to begin with? It completely steps on his own anti-Fox message.

I listened to the opening. BOR told Trump something like “... not appearing at the debate isn’t good for America.”, and the first thing that popped into my mind was “not good for FNC, and for the power-mad LSM in general.”

Equally matched in temperament I should have said.

Random notes, not in order:

BOR made a good case for doing the debate and did not allow Trump’s insults to FOX to hang in the air.
BOR it was not about Trump, not about Kelly or FOX, it was about the people. ( a favorite of his)

BOR: Megyn Kelly’s questions were within journalistic standards; he would have asked it, maybe in a different way
Trump: he wouldn’t have asked
BOR: Yes I would.
Trump: Yes you would

It might have been at that point when the Megyn’s question was taken off the table, Trump switched from Megyn Kelly bad to FOX News bad.

BOR asked if maybe he opened himself up to those types of questions by the things he has said in the past.

Trump: only reason he was doing BOR was because he made commitment. (Some commitments more important than others, I guess)

Trump: He doesn’t want to be President. The country needs him to make America great again. (Something such as that).

Trump says he gives all this money to vets, FOX gives nothing.
BOR: FOX has allowed my to raise over 20 million dollars for WW.

In the end Trump did look petty especially with that scowl. He won. I give money to vets. Kelly unfair. FOX unfair.

BOR met him head on. Not in a combative way. He was simply not intimidated.

Trump reminded him he said he would not ask about reconsidering debate. BOR: yes I did, I admit. But I said I would try not to ask because no one tells me what to ask.. I just blurted it out.

BOR touched on the Bible and forgiveness.
Trump said something about eye for an eye.

Trump said he is going to raise money for the vets Thursday night.
BOR said he could do that anytime, he will do one with him. But he needs to be at that debate. He needs to show the people he can stand up to the scrutiny.

BOR: do what Newt did-he knew the question was coming and when it did he let them have it right between the eyes. If Trump got an unfair question use those 60 seconds to let them have it.

“Fox put out this satirical attack on Trump”

Heard about this but haven’t seen it yet.
