Today will be the fish or cut bait day for Fox News. Will they drop Megyn Kelly and hand Trump a victory so the show can go on or will they host a debate that will have virtually no viewership.
Ailes must be under immense pressure from advertisers who have already purchased time slots at higher prices which reflect higher viewership estimates.
I can't see how he cannot cave.
Is Trump shovel ready?
******************
Good question and we may be about to find out. Once we get through February
things will happen fast and furious. Trump has offered an option to the
normal political candidate. How the voters will react has yet to be seen.
Polls seem to indicate he’s touched accord with many but will these be voters?
If so then a change of the political guard maybe on the horizon.
Roger Ailes (FNC) not only should remove Megyn Kelly forn the upcoming FNC debate....but he should fire her immediately for having that raving lunatic, ego-maniac, Glenn Beck & that nutcase, moron, Michael Moore on her show!!! The replacement for Kelly should be Maria Bartilomo of FBN!!! End of story!!!
Trump should host a million dollar a plate celebrity animal rights fundraiser to coincide on Thursday night with the Faux "debate"
Youâll probably be deeply disappointed if youâre looking to FOX to stage an issues debate. MK will ask juvenile bimbo questions, totally unrelated to presidential issues. And now FOX has added a mooslem Nazi to the panel. How stupid can FOX be? I expect this so-called debate to blow up in Ailesâ face. I hope that Cruz wonât be too badly wounded.
Issues oriented? The only issue they're going to be talking about is -- "So candidate X, why do you think Donald Trump isn't here?"
Trump took on greater criticism by not doing the debates. That doesn’t sound scared.
Some other net work should just cover Trump’s tweets during the debate.
They should drop Megan
“Freepers are going on and on about how brilliantly Trump is suckering everyone. Getting them to dance on command and covering both sides of the fence, touting him as a true master of getting what he wants out of people. Well, you know what, I agree, Iâm just not one of those people that he is fooling.”
I guess it never entered your mind that YOU’RE the one who’s been fooled into thinking that he’s fooling YOU, huh?
That's quite the sentence. Let's see, I've thought Trump was a narcissist twisting reality to promote himself since I first saw him speaking (about himself of course) in the mid 1980s. Every time I have had any exposure to Trump since then, Trump has reinforced my initial impression of him. I've known Trump the pro-abortion, anti-2A, pro-illegal alien, and I've seen the current rendition. Sincerity isn't what struck me about either version.
So, am I the one being fooled? Well, the only one that could possibly be fooling me is Trump, as I made my decisions based solely on what he and he alone has said. Fascinating conjecture you've tossed out. Has Trump purposefully conned me into thinking that he can't be trusted, when in fact he is totally trust worthy? Wow, just wow, that boggles the mind. That Trump really is a genius. I can't wait to find out what small part my being fooled plays in his master plan.
What they wont do is disinvite the Muslim-American hit woman who is going to grill Trump on his hate agenda.
Who is this? I do not know this story.
Fox News and Google have invited three YouTube personalities to ask questions at the Jan. 28 GOP debate - including a Muslim advocate who describes Donald Trump as a bigot and who visually portrayed him as being in agreement with national socialist Adolf Hitler

It's a tough call for FOX..Trump has really boxed them in and it's great!!
Well then you should be overjoyed that he's not going to be there! If they spend two hours trashing him (and nobody sees it) then Trump has STILL dominated the debate and gotten all the press coverage AND gotten coverage on the other networks with his veterans benefit rally.
Two groups of people will tune out the debate, those already in the bag hard for Trump and Democrats tuning in to make fun of Trump.
Which of those two groups do any of the other candidates care about skipping out? Neither.
Yep, viewership will go down, but the ones watching are those 40% not already committed to Trump or Cruz. Cruz is already the primary second choice for those supporting other candidates, so he’s in a much better position than Trump (who has a very high “no way in hell” number) to pick them up, especially as those minor players drop out.
24 million the last time. You taking the over or the under?
24 million benchmark:
Minus - 25% Trump supporters, who won’t admit tuning in
Minus - 35% Other already locked up supporters that tuned in earlier to watch their guy, but are no longer interested in live debates (me)
Minus - 20% Democrats that tuned in only for the spectacle of seeing Trump
That leaves what? 4.8 million republican viewers.
How many Republicans voted in the 2012 primaries? ~20 million. So I’m guessing that about 25% of the potential primary voters will be watching live with about triple that (me) tracking the subsequent reporting.
I had heard that this next debate is an “add-on” beyond the original debates scheduled so would not be covered by the original contract. Don’t know if it’s true, just what I had read.
Reagan also ditched an Iowa debate in 1980. Didn’t go too badly for him.
Don’t be coy plenty of people will see it and he’s gotten way more media time than the rest. He’s just full of himself to the point he thinks he deserves special treatment. He’s really warring a little thin...he might have crapped in his nest this time!!!
Only someone uninformed would call Trump a wimp. Otherwise its just namecalling.
You should read the transcript on Rush Limbaughs page of his segment on tRump. It's not that at all.
Yep, NorDUH O'Donnell also is getting all tingly thinking this is finally it, he's finally gonna drop out.
