Tonight on the Mark Levin Radio Show, Ted Cruz told CR's Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin that he is challenging Donald Trump to a one on one debate. He suggested that the debate be held on talk radio, and that it be a Megyn Kelly free zone.

The challenge comes after Trump said he would not participate in the Fox News debate on Thursday January 28, 2016.
Cruz told Levin, "the fact that Donald is now afraid to appear on the debate stage. That he doesn't want his record questioned. I think that reflects a lack of respect for the men and women of Iowa."
Cruz said if Trump is afraid of Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, or Megyn Kelly hosting a debate that he is willing to do an hour long head to head debate with no moderator.

But it would be GREAT for both of these two guys to GO AROUND the Media DeathStar.
I will definitely agree with that. The questioning in the first debate was unfair and had nothing to do with the issues. The statement released by fox was bizarre for a news organization.
It sounds like there’s no benefit to showing up to a hostile debate filled with hand selected anti-Trump personalities. he’s the Champ. he doesn’t have to beat you, you have to beat him. Good luck with that.

I agree 100%. Either the Donald thinks he’s invincible and can do no wrong, or this is his meltdown moment.
Either way - this is a stupid stunt that will turn more people off than on and that makes me happy. This election is too damn important and I don’t appreciate Trump turning it into a clown show.
It sounds like Trump decided to reduce Fox’s revenue by $20,000,000 or so.

These are not really debates. They are candidate forums. Trump's lack of knowledge and shallowness would be exposed in a real debate.
That would be my read on the situation.
In fact, what’s the point of their having a debate, if the frontrunner is not there?

Back to my point that Trump has participated in 5 or 6 already and has nothing to gain by another.
Cruz can debate well, but the election is not for head of the debate club. If it was, Cruz would win.
Will he win primaries? Time will tell. We could do worse.
