You concerned about Fox News rating now? I’m not.
Then again, I’m not supporting a run and hide candidate, either.

Ten bucks to a hole in a donut says Trump shows up at the debate pretending nothing happened.

Well, I've been googling a while, and I can't find the source I got that from. Freeper to Freeper: I didn't make it up.

We'll see. If I'm wrong, I'll admit it.

I’m not the low comprehension reader, TrumPET.

No tickey, No washy.

Who cares what the RNC says? Don’t worry about it. Rince probably peed his pants when he heard Donald Ducked.

Please, take a look at Scott Adams’ analysis of today, and let us know what you think.

Here is a taste:
Update: Trump will skip the debate and host a Wounded Warrior event instead.

That’s the 2D description.

In the third dimension, Trump will be focusing attention on the most American and probably the most diverse group of heroes in the nation while the Festival of Mostly Whiteness rages across town.

That’s your Trump lesson on the power of contrast. Timing is everything. And he gets away with it because you know he thinks it’s funny. Somehow that makes it better.

> it’s a matter of this being against RNC rules.

It’s not against the rules to propose it. This is one of those “when did you stop beating your wife” political moments. ;-)

Then it was dam*ed stupid of Cruz. He thinks he’s all that and a bag of chips. He’s a bag of something, alright, but it isn’t flavorful.

LOL!

Interesting, how fast he got this website up...just another opportunist pol.

I don’t think Trump needs to debate Cruz—unless he is willing to answer questions about his finances and donors. I think voters are far better served by a 2-hour town hall with questions from Iowa voters and a donation to Wounded Warriors.

With Trump absent the debate, Cruz had better prepare to be taken down by Fox GOPe. Fox and GOPe don’t like Cruz any more than they like Trump.

Cruz is a pretender. Witness the jeans. Yes, the jeans tell it all.

Maybe Cruz will show-up at Trump’s Veterans event. Now that would be fun!

?????? I’m not on either side - actually I hope I’m on God’s side and if He’s on one side or the other He’s sure not saying. See Joshua 5:13, 14. I have no idea which side He is on, and it’s likely neither.

I’m just stating what appears to me about the bitter, strong positions being taken here, as I’ve been here since the beginning (a lurker for a few years). Never seen this kind of vitrol being thrown back and forth and it troubles me.

I think Cruz is taking advantage of any opportunity, same as Trump would. And Trump looks very petulant and thin-skinned by dropping out of the debate over Megyn. Good grief! How is he going to be tough on Isis or Iran or any of our enemies if he can't handle a girl! Also, I noticed yesterday you said this in an another thread:

With all due respect, I understand your argument, however, you do know that Cruz worked on Bush campaign and worked in Bush Administration

So you are bashing Cruz for supporting the same person you supported at the time? Pretty sure that is a safe assumption, just going by your screen name.

Hmm, guess we are going to agree to disagree on this one.

You know, Reagan pulled out of the last debate before his Iowa Caucus? So there is precedent. You can’t tell me Reagan could not handle foreign bullies! Oh, and isn’t it interesting that really no one made a big deal about Rand Paul pulling out of last debate...but oh the feeding frenzy over Trump is something to behold.

There were leaks from Fox that indicated they were going after Trump etc. I try not to watch Meghyn Kelly since the last debate, but I did catch some of her program or heard clips from it over the past couple weeks and it seems to me she had plenty of anti-trump guests and stories. She (and Fox) is not neutral—which is what I would want from a moderator if I were a participant. So I don’t blame Trump for pulling out—why debate when a moderator is a known attack dog? I would think everyone would want neutral moderators (remember what happened to Mitt with Candy Crowley in 2012???), and clearly Kelly is not neutral—oh and don’t tell me she is going to be professional because she was not at the last debate.

Frankly, I think the argument that Trump will not be tough on ISIS is a red herring—Trump has been the candidate pushing for toughness on immigration, the border, on terrorism, beefing up our military, etc. I don’t think he is afraid of Kelly—he is just not going to put up with the crap and most people would have cheered this in the past (i.e. Mitt). In fact, I think there have consistently been calls on FR over the years to boycott the debates.

I welcome and look forward to some type of Trump town hall where true Iowans can ask real questions in an atmosphere that is not stacked against the candidate. I have heard a donation will be made to Wounded Warriors, which I think is wonderful—far better than taking soccer balls and teddy bears to the border for illegals.

Let the other candidates have their rehearsed speeches and responses. I actually went to a rally and watched Trump talk for over an hour—not rehearsed, no note, and no teleprompter—oh and no “loyalty test” at the door either. I liked hearing what he had to say—unfiltered and in context.

Screen name...Uh, wrong...my screen name is due to the election fraud taking place when I signed up for FR—remember the fraudulent hanging chads vote counts going on 24/7 in Florida?—it was not my grand support for bush. I held my nose and voted for him—he was the best of the worst at that time. I did not donate, volunteer, or have a paid position with him either during or after the campaign. Cruz did, and his wife did—they enthusiastically supported Bush and the neocon agenda. I have seen footage of his wife fondly, passionately recalling her days in the Bush administration how she influenced policy in South America, etc. Bush was no conservative—he was the most liberal president we have had since Reagan. Reagan, who I liked very much.

Uh, and if Trump did it, you'd be praising his expert IT staff and quick response team, I assume?

With Trump absent the debate, Cruz had better prepare to be taken down by Fox GOPe.

Cruz is prepared, you can count on that. Remember how he smacked down CNBC?

Cruz is the professional politician—has he worked in private sector ever? Maybe in high school. Sorry but in my opinion, he is a professional pol and he was an opportunist pol and went on the offense (and I would tend to desscribe it as attack mode) in less than an hour after Trump campaign announced...He basically demanded a debate, and then provided the website. He was not alone...there was a parade of pile-on from Fox—geez not like anything else goin on in the world....

My personal favorite, Michael Moore joined Kelly too. I also noticed that Rubio was far more subdued in his commentary of Trump withdrawing from the debate.

You can have your opinion, but don’t make assumptions about me. Last poster was totally off base for assuming anything about me.

Would I be praising Trump’s IT team? Dunnno because he did not do it. However, since I really didn’t think much one way or the other about Trump’s Caucus Locator App, I probably would not have been praising Trump’s IT team. Oh, and if Cruz has a “quick response team” he got that idea from Obama’s campaign...just more politics as usual.

I will note the difference between a helpful App (Caucus Locator) that can be used by all newcomers to the caucus process is quite different from a website geared to pressure Trump and make him look weak. I also note that that the Cruz fans here were bashing Trump for that Caucus Finder Ap.

Well if Cruz is prepared, then it is a great opportunity for him to shine, and then he did not need to set up a website to push/pressure Trump did he.

I am looking forward to an alternative to the debates I have never liked (and many here did not like in seasons past). IMHO Trump is a maverick, and that is what Washington DC governing class and the country needs. I am tired of voting for career politicians who promise the moon and deliver sour milk.

As Rush told Trump, Trump has taken more incoming than any other candidate—Trump gets flack from the left, from the right, from the GOPe, and the media, which is why I think I have found the right candidate!

.
Jim, don’t you think this is exactly the one and only debate we really need?

But it needs to be on TV in prime time.

There are no other candidates we need to look at.

(But we could let Jeb in for comic relief).
