ping!
Thanks for the ping!
I used to love snow days as a SAHM. It meant the kids being home, playing in the snow, while I played with them and made pastina soup, hot chocolate, etc. for when they finally came in from playing hours after I came in.
Now, I hate them and so do my kids (well kid now since only one left in high school). They aren’t built into the schedule anymore so we have to make them up in June when it’s hot and no AC.
My youngest graduates high school this year and now it’s one day later (which screws up my schedule but not the party, lol). I’ve received emails and texts from family and friends asking if the party is moved (and so far it’s the same but another snow day will screw it up). Unfortunately, now my school’s graduation is the same night as my daughter’s (it’s weird but it doesn’t change my school’s graduation night, yet). I’m usually asked by the 8th grade to present an award and I’ve attended every graduation for the last 7 years. So as of now with the snow day, they’re on the same night.
I wish we still had them built into the schedule. Or used Easter Break days first but that affects the teachers and Admin. I hate going until late June.
