As we hit yet another anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion on January 22, 1973, it might be good time to look back even farther, to 70 years ago when George Orwell wrote a trenchant essay on how language is misused and manipulated to, as he said, defend the indefensible. Calling his work “Politics and the English Language,” he probably could not anticipate how truly his words could be applied today.

By now, arguments from both sides of the abortion debate are familiar, but there’s one aspect rarely discussed: the way the pro-abortion side abuses and debases language to justify its position. I deliberately used the term pro-abortion, by the way, because the term pro-choice is their primary dodge.

Yep, it’s been lies after lies since the beginning. Evil from the start, nothing’s going to change that. I’m waiting for some lightning from above, but God works in mysterious ways....for those who don’t follow his natural law. I believe most people who support the slaughter of the unborn have never seen an aborted baby. I think the LEFT would be fit to be tied if any commercial came out with a casualty of an abortion. They know all too well that when the average person actually sees that this ‘aborted fetus’ is a BABY, and not some mass of tissue, people would be horrified.

Let these people confront what they support!

Sadly we live in a nation where this horrendous practice is applauded and seen a “right.”

I agree with you about the right judges. If I had anything to do with it, I’d impeach at least half of the current Justices in SCOTUS! Sorry, but 9 people should never, ever be allowed to dictate what a nation of 300+ million people are to consider moral!

I honestly believe that those who support abortion rights, have never once seen an aborted baby. I think they would be shocked at how barbaric this practice truly is!
