Clinton said in Indianola, Iowa, Thursday that while she shares many goals with Sanders, such as covering as many people are possible with health insurance, he is too theoretical while she is pragmatic. "I'm not interested in ideas that sound good on paper, but will never make it in the real world," Clinton said. "....Sen. Sanders has been in Congress for 25 years; he's introduced his health care plan nine times. But he never got even a single vote in the House, or a single Senate co-sponsor. ... Now he has a new plan. On the Republican side, Trump and other GOP candidates blasted Cruz, who has been gaining ground in some polls. But Trump still has a 37 percent to 26 percent lead over Cruz in Iowa, according to CNN/ORC.
Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida said Cruz "is not who he says he is," and has flip-flopped on issues including crop insurance and immigration.
South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, a former presidential candidate who dropped out of the GOP race recently, told NBC that Trump and Cruz are both weak candidates. "If you nominate Trump or Cruz," Graham told reporters, "I think you get the same outcome.

And National Review, a conservative magazine, announced its opposition to Trump for the GOP presidential nomination. "Donald Trump is a menace to American conservatism who would take the work of generations and trample it underfoot on behalf of a populism as heedless and crude as The Donald himself," the magazine's editorial said.
