Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump late Wednesday pinned blame for his scriptural gaffe -saying "2 Corinthians" instead of "Second Corinthians" - on evangelical activist Tony Perkins.
"Tony Perkins wrote that out for me. He actually wrote out the 2, he wrote out the number 2 Corinthians," Trump said on "CNN Tonight with Don Lemon." "I took exactly what Tony said, and I said, 'Well, Tony has to know better than anybody.'" The slip-up drew laughs from the crowd at evangelical Liberty University and led to attacks on the billionaire businessman's faith.
But Trump said he has since heard from "a lot of people" who tell him that he was actually correct.
"It's a very small deal, but a lot of people in different sections of the world say 2, and I've had many, many people say to me," he said.
"My mother, as you know, was from Scotland, and they say 2," he added

I guess Trump would have done better if he rehearsed his Scripture reading over and over again, like Cruz does to his children for the cameras.
Did the others also blame Tony Perkins for their own mistake?
I don’t think any cares about the gaffe (well, beyond the obvious pandering he was engaged in at the time) but blaming on it on someone else? Really?

Tell Trump that. He’s the one getting Tony Perkins to write out Bible verses for him so he more effectively pander to the religious folks who come to see him.
And I completely call BS that he’s not running as a politician.

When the number comes after the name of the book, it’s referring to the chapter.

I agree with Trump that it is a very small deal. A Google search shows that 2 Corinthians is a relatively common reference to 2nd Corinthians.
People that push paper for a living probably don’t notice it as much if at all as people that have worked dangerous jobs but the first person you run off of a dangerous job is the guy who simply can’t take responsibility for their screw ups.
People that can’t take responsibility for their screw ups are the ones that get themselves or someone else hurt or killed.
With that being said, Donald you’re fired.
They misspoke when they said that.

If everyone working in an office had to put a staple in the palm of their had every time someone screwed up, the tolerance for screw ups would stop.
I guarantee under those conditions nobody would tolerate a screw up that can’t take responsibility for their screw ups.
