Mike Francesa says he’s leaving WFAN in two years

New York radio legend Mike Francesa will be leaving WFAN when his contract expires at the end of 2017, he told Fox Sports’ Katie Nolan on her podcast.

“I’m not saying I’m leaving the business. I’m leaving Monday to Friday, five-and-a-half hours, FAN,” Francesa said. “I’m not saying I’m not gonna work again. I’m not saying I’m not gonna do anything again. What I’m saying is, that part of my life, at the end of ’17, that is ending.”

If you enjoy listening to sports radio whatever platform, local or national thank Mike and the Made Dog and WFAN. WFAN was the first all sports format. Mike and the Mad Dog were the top rated show on the afternoon drive time in the NY Metro market. They are doing a reunion show at Radio City Music Hall I believe at the end of March.

The stupidest thing I have ever seen is sports channels televising radio programs. Don’t know anything about this guy but have seen him sitting behind a microphone, drinking bottled water while some caller talks and talks.
