My question to those global warming/climate change advocates is: What caused the last ice age and what caused the end of it? Neanderthal fires?

Ah yes. Love the smell of dung fires outside the hut in the morning.

What caused the last ice age and what caused the end of it?

I was thinking about this global warming stuff at work this morning while looking out at the mini blizzard. I'm tired of shoveling snow. So at noon in the lunchroom I told the guys the global warming people had announced 2016 as being the warmest year on record.

Mark, the smartest man I know, launched into how they had been keeping records for like, you know, about 50 years, and they have found that every five years is a weather cycle. In the last coupla cycles the average temperature has risen. SO, he tells us, if this is the fifth year of the next cycle it is the warmest on record.

WHAT????

Rick is rolling his eyes and asked, "What caused the last ice age and what caused the end of it?"

It was the ATLANTEANS I told Rick. For thousands of years they had debated the question Universal Energy or charcoal briquettes? By Royal decree the briquette won out.

In the ensuing DECADES the pollution from all the barbecuing caused a global winter and the last ice age. So it was only Universal Energy for THOUSANDS of years.

When things started to ease up the briquette people decided to give it a try again. It caused such a fight between the two factions that they destroyed themselves in a huge fireball that heated the atmosphere so much it not only ended the last ice age but melted the icecap off from Antarctica! The lucky few who escaped in their Vimanas got a few good pics of that continent with their Smartphones before they landed and restarted CIVILIZATION.

Do you know how I know this, I asked Rick?

I WAS THERE! (I sure do miss those Auroch steaks.)

;-))
