Cruz is the candidate with a god complex.Uh....what? You're saying Trump is the more humble? What?
This whole Trump movement reminds me of the oboma thing. It's insane. Trump is a TV star, so people are swooning over him. He's a celebrity, so he must be the greatest!
It's all so surreal. Turn off the stupid TV! Trump was only acting! He's only acting now!

I am a 62 year inner city Pastor who get serious death threats on a regular basis from killers. God keeps me in all I do!
You haven’t done anything I have seen on FR to earn respect, you just keep stirring the pot trying to make trouble here. And liars will not enter into the Kingdom of God, sonny, look it up it is in the bible.
Start acting honorably and I will change my opinion of you.

Cruz wants a theocracy. Trump wants a nation under God.

In an earlier episode, the oh-so-holy One-One-One puffed up his sunken chest and sputtered:
"I love tough guys sitting in their mothers basement behind a computer. Somehow I think if we met in person, you would show more respect."
Then FReeper Free_Life provided some well deserved smackdown:

"By their fruits you shall know them" Pastor, and it looks like the fruit is sour grapes for Mr. 'One-One-One'.
And bless you for your inner city work.

What if he does not even get Texas?
That would be a real shock for the Cruz campaign. There might be some resentment against Trump for prevailing over Cruz by the time the Texas primary takes place, which means that the Bush Crime Syndicate would probably pull out all the stops to try and grab those 155 delegates for Senor Jebuardo.
GWB is on the record as saying that he "doesn't like Cruz" so they might see it as an opportunity to smack Cruz around a little no matter who has the momentum.

Yeah, I am buying that.

People forgave her anything. That was a mistake. I wasn't a big supporter of hers for President. And you don't see people saying the same about Trump?

Yes.
Certainly I do, and I accept the reasons for it
Trump did and said things in his business career that I don’t like.
Today in his political career he has determined to run with policies I approve of.
He has made one flip flop since July and it put him in a better position regarding Syrian refugees headed for the U.S. I welcomed it.
Something is going on if people like Phyllis Schlafley’s and Palin are choosing Trump over Ted.
They believe him.
Was McCain hawking the Trump platform in 2008? No.
Was he in 2010? No.
That’s why I see this as different.

Something is going on if people like Phyllis Schlafleyâs and Palin are choosing Trump over Ted.While I like some of these people's opinions, it eventually boils down to what I think of Trump. Trump is a guy I never thought of as my choice as a candidate for President. Cruz was a guy that I thought "only in your dreams" candidate for President. I now see Cruz as a viable candidate and think "grab for the brass ring". It will never be there again in my lifetime.

You could well be right. If Trump sweeps Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of Cruz withdrawing, a remote possibility but not out of the realm of political options.

I guess if trump is a conservative, he can be a pastor.
The world is up side down.
To: Starstruck
I can respect that statement.
There’s no reason we need to be hostile to each other, and I appreciate the way you explained your thoughts.
I’ve been waiting for a populist who shared my beliefs, and I believe the reformed Trump does.
Not everyone is going to, and it would be a strange world if they did.
IMO, the connections Trump makes across demographics will be crucial.
We’ll see how it goes.
Watch for a Free Republic Caucus thread at 12:00 midnight to midnight EDST starting tonight.
May both men do well...
