I did the same thing (on a smaller scale) when I borrowed from my own credit union account.

And, yes, they charged interest and, yes, I paid them back.

Bristol’s response is too well thought out, researched and put together to have been written after the Cruz campaign put out it’s statement. There just isn’t enough time to put that sort of thing together.

My belief is that this was put together, possibly some time ago, in anticipation of Cruz’ likely response to a Palin Trump endorsement. Since it comes from Bristol, Sarah’s hands can be kept clean and Cruz is backed into a wall of having to choose to take a shot at Bristol.

If so it’s a clever and effective piece of political maneuvering by team Trump.

You missed the insane cult fever that has taken over the Trump people.

Trump is he who is not to be spoken ill of.

No, I support both their efforts and although there certainly are Trump supporters who get carried away... most will acknowledge his flaws and past transgressions and admit that they have some reservations. Hard core Cruz supporters on the other hand come across as extremely rude and nasty a very high percentage of the time. This is so unhelpful to Cruz that I sometimes suspect that there is some type of deceit going on.

Hey, stay here and help.

I read Bristol’s statement on my Facebook page before I came over here. A lot of people responded to her on Facebook and none of them were positive.

She implied that Cruz had said something insulting about her Mom but didn’t actually say what that was.

What it was .. Cruz said it would be disappointing.

And it is disappointing. I’ve liked and defended Sarah Palin over everything but not this.

I think Trump supporters will be as disappointed in him as I now am in Palin when the clouds of glory fade away and Trump starts revealing his true positions.

And, by the way, Cruz supporters are not nasty. We tell the truth and they think it’s nasty.

Odd, last time I checked I didn’t think it was illegal to borrow money for your campaign? I missing something? Made up issue? Say he had borrowed from Citi? Would he be in the bag for Citi? You expecting him to go to the local ma and pa local bank to borrow millions?

Then again after hearing Trump speak at that college the other day I don’t know how any intelligent person can support this guy. My Jr High daughter can form more cohesive thoughts than this guy. Verbally this guy is a nightmare. I can’t stand to listen to him for more than 2 minutes before shutting him off. He does nothing but go on and on and then transition to a topic unrelated to the one he was speaking about, peppers in a couple me and i’s never offering a plan. It is completely ridiculous.

They did not say anything mean about Sarah. All they said was that endorsing Trump would hurt her with conservatives, and I have to agree with Cruz’s people. It will hurt her and destroy her as a conservative.

I agree. It wasn't a slam, either. They were making a good point. I'd be very confused if Sara endorsed Trump over Cruze.

Trump wants to win. Period. He will say or do anything to get what he wants. He knows what people want to hear, but that doesn't mean he's being honest about what he believes or plans to do. It just means he likes to win at any cost. If he has to lie about every belief he has to win - he'll do it.

"By his FRUITS ye will know him." The fruits of Trumps past (even up to 2015) were far left to say the least. His actions speak louder to me than his words, and in clean conscience I'll take no part of helping him into the White House.

I do agree with what Trump SAYS, but I strongly disagree with what he DOES. The two are direct opposites.

problem is, Cruz supporters are coming off as jilted prom queens. If you can’t handle the mere speculation without resorting to insults and hyperbole then you’re not ready for prime time

It is because he and his supporters are finally showing their colors of liberalism. Typical Alinsky tactic deployed by liberals. When presented with facts change the subject and state that you and your supporters are nasty.

Saul would be proud he has a large contingent of followers executing his every tenant.

We all know there was no slam, and that Bristol and Sarah should, and probably do, know better. So I suspect this deliberate over-reaction may be a trial balloon. Sarah likely suspects that Trump will win the nomination and she’ll eventually support him in the general, of course. But if she endorses him now, she might be able to take credit for delivering Iowa to him. Hopefully, from the comments here, she’ll see from floating this balloon that it’s a bad idea. Wait for the general, Sarah. You don’t need Trump and Iowa at this point to be relevant - being principled matters more.

I wouldn't expect there to be any wide appeal beyond those who are already true believers though.

Use of the leftist contemptuous tag is duly noted.

Trump is a horrible speaker and a worse debater but his style appeals to a certain element.

He doesn’t do much explaining or go into pesky details. He just throws out promises and expletives.

He doesn’t sound like a politician because most politician have learned to express themselves better.

But maybe that is part of his appeal to the masses.

I’m no fan of Goldman Sachs but I would hardly say they are the worst people in the country. Your post is amazingly...

I would put nothing past any political dog and pony show. I was even thinking that the heightened drama this past couple of weeks between the two camps was staged to keep the spotlight on the two front runners. But some of the rhetoric especially from Cruz supporters has gone way over the top and is completely counterproductive. So now I am starting to think there is possibly a genuine conflict developing between the two camps. Who knows? When all is said and done I just hope that both walk away undamaged for the convention and we don’t end up with Jeb or Marco somehow taking it.

I think Jim Jones did this too. Quite frightening we have folks supporting him without substance.
