Black Heritage Society's 37th Annual Original MLK Birthday Parade will begin at Crawford and Texas near Minute Maid Park, and end at Hamilton and Preston.
In Midtown, the MLK Grande Parade will be on San Jacinto Street and Elgin Street.
People will enjoy a mile of 15 floats and 30 bands. The grand marshal is Rushion McDonald who is the executive producer of The Steve Harvey Show. He's a Houston native and University of Houston graduate.
Both parades begin at 10 a.m.

He’s busy working on fixing potholes right now. Will tackle the parade issue and then when time allows the horrendous City debt.
The pothole issue reminds me of Mayor White whose most noted accomplishment during his tenure was syncronizing all the stop lights. Except that White eventually ran out of lights to sync - Turner will never see an end to potholes that need filling during his term. God forbid that they should actually replace any of the decaying streets with real concrete.

When Comrade Bernie gets elected, attendance will be mandatory, like with May Day Parades under Communism.
