Somethin' about Ted- Was he separated at birth from Al Gore? (Vanity)
dmztahoe

I am trying as hard as possible to get aboard the Ted Cruz bandwagon, but there is somethin' about Ted.

Listening to Rush' radio program this morning, I heard an ad by the Cruz campaign, and it hit me... Ted sounded exactly like Al Gore. Not his positions, mind you, but the manner of his delivery, his style, his slick way with words and delivery. At one point, he raised his voice in excitement, almost yelling and then "growled" in the manner Gore displayed when the campaign got tough.

I encourage someone to get videos of the two and sound recordings. Not only are their styles the same, they eerily have a similar appearance and delivery method.

No matter the policy, one has to like and feel comfortable to vote for a candidate.

I found Gore to be offensive and phony.

I regret that I find Cruz to be the same.

Yup. He must be a bad guy, then, since he looks like Grandpa Munster.

This entire thread is very disturbing. Frightening, actually. The world is beset with Muslim terrorists, ISIS murdering innocents, the economy in crappy shape, diseases brought into the U.S. by Odungo's illegals surge, our healthcare being puppeteered by Odungo's mongrels, illegals murdering U.S. citizens, a meteoric rise in racial tensions, police assassinations, and black gangs assaulting whites, our military being reduced to cowering from Muzzie bullies, and you guys have problems with candidates voice inflections? Are they running for President to lead our country OUT of the above, or are they running for an Academy Award?

I have long disdained this country's worship of celebrities, whose main or even sole distinction is the fact that they have performed in public. That does not confer upon them intelligence, wisdom, taste, or political acumen.

People who placed their prime importance on a candidate who was good at making speeches inflicted us with the worst traitor to our country ever, TWICE, as president. I am waiting for people to grow up, shed their celebrity worship and related stylistic critiques (are you a VOTER or on the panel of "America's Got Talent"?) and look more deeply into the positions held by a candidate, any past scandals or questionable associations, and the potential leadership qualities they have. THAT is what is important for a leader of our country, to both heal the internal ills and to repair the horrific damage to the respect shown to us by other countries. Bullies, like sharks or wolves, sniff out weakness in potential victims. The way things are going, even the tiniest nations, emboldened by Odungo's bowing, scraping and capitulating to every Tom, Dick & Harry, will feel free to hold us in contempt.

To paraphrase it in terms of the contempt so beautifully expressed in Lamentations: "...All that pass by clap their hands at thee; they hiss and wag their head at the [the U.S.], saying, Is this the [country] that men call The perfection of beauty, The joy of the whole earth? All thine enemies have opened their mouth against thee: they hiss and gnash the teeth: they say, We have swallowed her up: certainly this is the day that we looked for; we have found, we have seen it."

And THIS is because of Odungo, your smooth talking traitorous serpent.

Please put away your pettiness when evaluating Presidential candidates. I don't care if they "sounded nasal", "wore the wrong tie", "didn't look Presidential"---can they be a good leader? Can they consistently look out for the security of our country, its economic health, the good of its people? Can they restore our supremacy among nations, so that "Don't mess with the U-Ess" once again has meaning? And do not consider supremacy a sin, as it is in the sicko Commie mindset of the Odungos of this world?

May Odungo and his willing minions be buried so deeply that we are never again inflicted even with their NAMES, and may we choose a successor with our wisdom instead of superficial celeb criteria.

All I know, in my Primary race, I'm voting for the only T.E.A Party Conservative.

I do think there is somethin' about Trump.

Can he control his anger and does he have the right temperament to be CIC?

Put on your glasses and plug in your hearing aid grandpa, they are nothing alike. Gore and Cruz are on side opposite sides of the fence. I am wondering which side of the fence you are on.

Wish you may, wish you might... won’t make Clyde Barnum Trump conservative tonight.

We understand, its very hard to hear anything else, like the truth, while Donald the Pied Piper plays his magical flute louder and louder the closer Cruz gets. How soon before we hear the obligatory “Dean Scream” as the nom door closes?

Very lame when the best you can do is talk about cadence and ignore positions.

You don't like him. Your call. At least make a valid point.

Inside a Cruz Whitehouse, outside the Oval Office...

Knock knock.
Who’s there?

Goldman Sachs.

Goldman Sachs who?

Goldman Sachs who funded your campaigns.

Oh yeah. Come on in.

AlGore had and has a totally condescending delivery that’s like nothing so much as a bored special ed teacher trying to explain the finer points of toilet training to a class of mentally challenged three year olds. That’s something I’ve never seen Ted get close to.

Objectively viewing Ted’s public speaking, there are some things viscerally disconcerting about his persona and delivery:

1. He constantly looks facially pained, as if he just ate a lemon. While it is his ‘earnest and concerned’ look, it is very distracting.

2. His voice is annoyingly ‘tight’, in the manner of Bush 41, speaking from the back of his throat. It is not at all sonorous or pleasing to the ear.

3. His arm movements are stiff and robotic, which is off-putting and odd.

This will not sell to the general public; no normal person speaks like that. Time for a major makeover.

That is your opinion, and I applaud it, such as it is.

There are some on this forum who would disagree with you.

That's the purpose of a forum, though: to encourage the free and open discussion of ideas. Unfortunately, there are some here who wish to suppress the discussion of ideas they find unpleasant, or of ideas that go against their beliefs.

Are you one of those people?

Good one.

Funny that no one is talking about the “Other” loan from Citibank to Ted Cruz. Citibank is Saudi owned. Does anyone really think that Citibank and Goldman Sachs gives (or loans) candidates money without a payback?
