I am trying as hard as possible to get aboard the Ted Cruz bandwagon, but there is somethin' about Ted.
Listening to Rush' radio program this morning, I heard an ad by the Cruz campaign, and it hit me... Ted sounded exactly like Al Gore. Not his positions, mind you, but the manner of his delivery, his style, his slick way with words and delivery. At one point, he raised his voice in excitement, almost yelling and then "growled" in the manner Gore displayed when the campaign got tough.
I encourage someone to get videos of the two and sound recordings. Not only are their styles the same, they eerily have a similar appearance and delivery method.
No matter the policy, one has to like and feel comfortable to vote for a candidate.
I found Gore to be offensive and phony.
I regret that I find Cruz to be the same.
To the bots, this is presidential.
That’s an astonishing take on things. But, the first thing you have to do is admit you’ve got a problem, and you’ve done so here. Good job.
Now get help.
Why is it when people say there is something about Ted, they utterly refuse to be objective with their own preferred candidate? It is like they don't really have an argument against him so they slander him with their "feelings" and innuendo. It was those "feelings" that got Clinton and Obama elected not principles and values.
I regret that I find Cruz to be the same.
The Mitch McConnells and John McCains of this world may find Ted Cruz to be offensive, but he's anything but phony. Whatever you may say about him, he didn't cheer for Obama in 2008.
How humiliating, I remember one President at one time made movies with a chimpanzee co-star.
Again, why does every political thread always morph into a Cruz vs Trump vs Cruz vs Trump non-stop bash-o-Rama?
If you bashers have nothing positive to say about anything, go back to work and do something constructive besides pissing off fellow FReepers.
hell he even took credit for the release of the people in iran too-
And Trump reminds me of that guy that was dating his own daughter.
Lifelong liberal Donald Trump still is.
To summarize this post:
“I cannot vote for Ted Cruz because I don’t like his voice”
The deeply superficial analysis presented in this vanity post is embarrassing. The idiots at DU must be linking to this post and writing: “This is what we’d sound like if we were conservative.”
[[I love Cruz as a candidate, but I have to admit, there is a touch of a preacher delivery with him, and Al Gore did it, too, but only more monotone.]]
That is a fact- but I’d much rather have a preacher style speaker who loves this country, our constitution, and our rights than one from the left that doesn’t- His tone is the least of my worries- I’m more intere4sted In where as man stands on policies- and not that he has to be perfect either- as long as they are ‘mostly right’ on all the major issues- Ted is certainly no al gore thank goodness
Ted’s delivery is always odd. He was trying to force it. Makes it worse.
I Like Cruz’s views very much but something about him cringes me. Can’t help it. Would vote for him, however, if he bacame the nominee but much prefer Trump.
Ted's father is more like a fake evangelical preacher. See here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3379182/posts
“Tedâs delivery is always odd. He was trying to force it. Makes it worse.”
Agree... when Trump started succeeding, everyone turned it up a notch. Now Cruz is sounding like Jeb on steroids.
[[Cruz has a problem with his voice. I speak as someone that uses their âvoiceâ for pay. It does not resonate well to the ear. It has a certain high pitch that tends to grate on the ears,]]
Let’s compare his voice to hellary’s voice- I’ll go with ?Ted any day thanks-
Ted does have a speech problem, but most of the other candidates on both sides have a morality problem- and hellary is extremely shrill and grating to go along with corrupt-
I'm disappointed at how many Freepers are put off because Cruz sounds too intelligent, too well spoken, too articulate.
Cruz sounds like Dr. Strangelove to me. It fits, creepy voice, creepy guy.
Yes! Yes! Absolutely!
LOLOL It’s not just you! Sometime, this weekend, I posted to someone- here or CTH that he makes me think of Gore. It’s the pomposity & the condescension but there’s also something about his mannerisms & expressions, too.
Why in the world would you be trying to get on board with Cruz? For goodness sakes, do your homework first. I’m just sayin’. . .
