I am trying as hard as possible to get aboard the Ted Cruz bandwagon, but there is somethin' about Ted.
Listening to Rush' radio program this morning, I heard an ad by the Cruz campaign, and it hit me... Ted sounded exactly like Al Gore. Not his positions, mind you, but the manner of his delivery, his style, his slick way with words and delivery. At one point, he raised his voice in excitement, almost yelling and then "growled" in the manner Gore displayed when the campaign got tough.
I encourage someone to get videos of the two and sound recordings. Not only are their styles the same, they eerily have a similar appearance and delivery method.
No matter the policy, one has to like and feel comfortable to vote for a candidate.
I found Gore to be offensive and phony.
I regret that I find Cruz to be the same.
You are confused. DT is the one who takes credit for everything! And falsely accuses others of stealing his ideas.
Lately, The Donald Trump reminds me John MeCain.
Boy no kidding. Trump has about as much class a case of the Clap...
Most people will go by their gut. But nobody else has fought our evil congressional leadership like Cruz has. God help Ted Cruz. God help the United States.
so this is what freerepublic has ...my god

Yes, we all believe you. You are at least as honest as DONALD TRUMP (BLESSED BE HIS NAME).
I love Cruz as a candidate, but I have to admit, there is a touch of a preacher delivery with him, and Al Gore did it, too, but only more monotone.
I just said that to my son yesterday. It's the weird growl added to his voice for effect.
You should be ashamed of yourself. This isn’t even good “guilt by association” tactics.
I don’t recall Gore’s voice being as high pitched and nasally but I will have to check it out.
Ted has a geeky, nasally voice and asymmetrical face. Not good attributes in a celebrity- and looks-obsessed culture. He needs to stop making that doofus face, and relax and smile more. Heidi also has a serious case of BRF (bitchy resting face).
I heard a Cruz radio ad and it sounded to me like Ted should lay off the acting classes. The inflections and “growling” sound phony. He has important things to say, just say them.
Chill. Free Republic is a forum, filled with lots of voices, some good, some bad, some inspired, some nutty. We're not about suppressing anyone, unless they're inciting violence or yelling "fire" in a crowded theater.
This being an election cycle, expect some nuttiness and if you don't like what you see, go to a different post.
Ted Cruz is an acquired taste...which I haven’t acquired.
Ted’s father is an evangelical preacher. Might be where he gets it from.
Cruz has a problem with his voice. I speak as someone that uses their “voice” for pay. It does not resonate well to the ear. It has a certain high pitch that tends to grate on the ears, it tends to come from the nose. If perhaps he could learn to speak from the diaphragm to lower his nasal tone.
As for Trump. It has a certain raspy to my ear. It has proper lower tones and his voice does rise when he is excited.
Netanyahu. He has a deep voice, when he speaks whatever he is saying takes a sense of importance because of the deepness of his tone.
Just my thoughts regarding voice. For Cruz, it doesn’t help him and for the future he might want to consult a voice coach. For Trump, okay, not the greatest.
“I love Cruz as a candidate, but I have to admit, there is a touch of a preacher delivery with him, and Al Gore did it, too, but only more monotone.”
Maybe that’s it... he should on the TV on Sunday mornings...
It is insane to elect Trump who will create Millions of New Democrat Voters with his touch back amnesty policy.
Cruz will deport them and not let them come back.
Something as superficial as someone’s voice is no reason to destroy the country.
