Same here. I loved their early MTV-period stuff. By the time the early 90's rolled around, they'd just become too pretentious for their own good and I hung up the headphones on them. Other bands like Green Day and Red Hot Chili Peppers went the same route - they started believing their own press releases and became caricatures of themselves. I'm here for the music, not your damned worldview. I'm a big Robert Plant fan, but he just became another stuffy old liberal fart with a high opinion of himself. I guess I'll live with the memories of the Manic Nirvana tour and take solace in that.

With you on “all of the above”. Dumb-asses lose listeners/viewers when they start thinking we care about their political views. Just look what happened to the Dixie Chicks when they went anti-American overseas.
