After more than a year battling an aggressive type of brain cancer, 6-year-old Nate Sansom passed away at his home in Chapmanville, WV on Monday January 11th.

"Nate was a strong kid, he always had a smile on his face even throughout this whole journey. He never let it get him down," said Aaron Fry, Nate's uncle.

The Heroes4Higher crew out of Huntington, WV spent quite a bit of time with Nate throughout his journey and were saddened but honored to be apart of his funeral services.

They carried the boys custom made casket created by Trey Ganem Designs out of Texas.

"No parent should ever have to bury their child, so we were pretty crushed," said Batman with Heroes4Higher.

Dang blurry screen!

It’s good to know that with so much selfishness in the world today, there are heroes willing to give so much of themselves for another, younger hero.

May God rest Nate’s soul and admit him to the company of angels. And may He bless abundantly the heroes who gave so much of themselves for this little boy.
