I think Cruz’s mistake was to stereotype all New Yorkers as liberals...
By the same logic, someone could say something about “North Carolina” politicians values based on the actions of former governor Mark Sanford—his lying to his staff and citizens of the state, his affair, etc...but that would be stereotyping and a mistake...
There are good people (and not-so-good people) everywhere.
