Every president is entitled to the confidence of the nation that he means well. That includes Barack Obama, even when he retreats to his other home in a universe far, far away. He just doesn't understand what's going on here on Planet Earth, where the rest of us live. Meaning well is not enough.
He seems to understand now, after it was explained to him at some length, that America is indeed the exceptional nation that Abraham Lincoln said it is, but not for the reasons Mr. Obama thinks. "The United States of America is the most powerful nation on Earth, period," Mr. Obama told the nation in his State of the Union address earlier this week. "Itâs not even close. We spend more on our military than the next eight nations combined."
That's rich, from the man who has starved the military for resources and has set out to inflict mortal damage on the great fighting machine by remaking it to answer the sighs and whispers of feminist wishes and dreams.

Calling Obama a befuddled president deflects the truth. The non-moslem islamist in chief has boiled the frog in the pot just hard enough to cook him alive.
Funny diagram. It has some truth too, which all good humor has.
I once wondered out loud, I forget the topic, whether this administration was acting out of malice or simple incompetence.
A friend looked me in the eye and reminded me the two are not mutually exclusive.
In the manner that a little ignorant child remembers a nursery rhyme. Obama does not grasp the consequences of the plans that others made, and he has put into motion.
Cloward and Piven didn't either. Their model is based on Russia, China, and Europe. The United States is a different animal. What will happen if they collapse the system is the pent up rage and frustration of we conservatives will no longer have to respect the laws which have been keeping us from wiping out these communist rat-bastards and all their little sucklings.
The real power in the United States is in the hands of the Male portion of the middle class. We are the gun bearers, and we are the engineers, the farmers, the manufacturers, and we are the most dangerous people in the entire nation to be messing around with.
Professors Cloward and Piven are idiots. There is a dynamic at work in this nation that their cute little model did not contemplate when they were constructing it.
The dependency condition of most of the indolent members of our society are only maintained as a result of lawful stability. If things go to crap, all their dependents will die off relatively quickly.
The hard core survivors are going to be us, and we will be looking around for people like Cloward and Piven to stretch their necks.
