You’re right, Cruz’s favorability rating beats them all.

Funny thing, with all this talk about Cruz sounding creepy and like a preacher (whatever that means). Last night my husband remarked on Ted’s strong voice and powerful delivery...said he’s by far the most presidential of any on the stage.

IMO his voice is one that would let Islamic savages know it’s all over...better scurry for your holes.

I will not stay home, but I also will not vote for someone with New York values. Cruz is the only conservative in the race and I only vote for conservatives. Perfect? No, but conservative none the less. Republicans keep pushing candidates who they know are repugnant to people like me, then blame us for not voting for them. Screw that.

Trump sure has a huge following. He's drawing big crowds and generating a lot of enthusiasm, but if he's not as conservative on social values as he claims to be on economic issues then I doubt I can vote for him.

Trump is bringing a lot of fed up folks into the fold, which is what I thought the forum was all about. I hadn't posted until recently - and that was because I saw a disaster unfolding that motivated me. Is this 'noob' stuff all about a last ditch effort to tamp down dissent because reason has left the building.

There is plenty hypocritical about Cruz's actual voting record and his financial support. There is plenty hypocritical about Trump's older positions on issues.

They are both campaigning on generally the same platform. The difference is religion and that is the difference for me.

I know right now people are loving his bombastic approach and the way in which he looks down on people who disagree with him. In the long run I don't think it's a winning strategy.
