Ted Cruz is not eligible to be president

Donald Trump is actually right about something: Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) is not a natural-born citizen and therefore is not eligible to be president or vice president of the United States.

Cruz is, of course, a U.S. citizen. As he was born in Canada, he is not natural-born. His mother, however, is an American, and Congress has provided by statute for the naturalization of children born abroad to citizens. Because of the senator’s parentage, he did not have to follow the lengthy naturalization process that aliens without American parents must undergo. Instead, Cruz was naturalized at birth. This provision has not always been available. For example, there were several decades in the 19th century when children of Americans born abroad were not given automatic naturalization.

You just don't like this, because you support Cruz!

Since I learned about this.... a bit more than ten years ago, this had absolutely NOTHING whatsoever to do with Obama, who was never eligible and yes, I did post this about Obama when he was running in the primaries, nor Cruz, Rubio, Jindal, and Haley; though it DOES also pertain to them!

Think about the following.....If this is not so/codified and published, then an ILLEGAL ALIEN anchor baby can easily become president in a few decades, or sooner. That means that someone from China, Mexico, Russia, or anywhere else could run for and become president here. DO YOU REALLY THINK THAT OUR FOUNDERS MEANT FOR THAT TO HAPPEN?

All I’ve ever seen is the Constitution which states the president must be at least 35 years old and a natural born citizen. The Constitution doesn’t define NBC. However a person not born a citizen who becomes one later is said to be “naturalized.” So a person born a citizen is “Naturally Born” a citizen. Therefore Cruz who’s mom was a US citizen was a citizen at hits birth and is therefore NBC.

That is well-reasoned.

Just want to see a statute, that’s all. What’s the problem with that?

Cruz's father did NOT become a NATURALIZED AMERICAN CITIZEN until 2005 and was a Canadian citizen at his birth!

Cruz was a CITIZEN at birth, but NOT a NBC!

in the age of hyphenated americans, diminishing sovereignty, globalist aspirations, and open borders, this is a fast track pathway to ruination.

There is one, I repeat one founding era document that defines what a natural born citizen is. That is the Naturalization Act of 1790. Which includes those citizens born in other nations.

“Do you have paperwork to show the Ted Cruz’s mom renounced her US citizenship?”

Renouncing US citizenship is almost impossible to do, to whit:

Lee Harvey Oswald tried to renounce his US citizenship. The US state department rejected his renunciation.

For what feels like the 1,000th time.....our government gives out study guides to LEGAL IMMIGRANTS

I am soo sick of what "our government" does (assuming it really does, in this case — you need a link).

Anybody who is in favor of "our government" favors the Obama Regime and needs to STFU!

Trump never said he was ineligible. Rather that it might be wise to have judge rule that he is eligible.

Is Obama born in the United States to two citizen parents? No. He is not a natural born citizen. We let that one slide.

Is Rafael Edward “Ted” Cruz born in the United States to two citizen parents? He was not born in the United States. He was born to only one citizen parent. Shall we let that one slide too?

Moron....these study guides were written looooooooooooooong before Obama left the state of Ill.!

Do you have a severe reading comprehension problem ?

I know a man, who in 2005 was preparing to become a naturalized American citizen. His wife, a NBC from a long line of NBC American citizens was pregnant. When he aced the test and became a Naturalized Citizen he was thrilled to become one and equally thrilled that his yet to be born son could some day, if he wished to, could become president of this nation. That is when and HOW I found out about this law.

If you believe that our government made this all up, then contact them.

If you chose to NOT believe me, that's your hard luck and a matter of stupidity on your part. I did NOT make this up, I have been posting about it since Obama was running in the primaries, and I am NOT "mistaken" about anything I have have posted.

There is NO way I can post a link to a book that someone I know well had, nor do I know if he still has it.

Neither the Rinos or the Rats have any love for Ted Cruz. They will take him down with any means possible. Even McConnel said the the senate would not pass a resolution on this. As much as I like Cruz, he would be a disaster.

Not as far as they were concerned.

It is an established maxim that birth is a criterion of allegiance. Birth however derives its force sometimes from place and sometimes from parentage, but in general place is the most certain criterion; it is what applies in the United States; it will therefore be unnecessary to investigate any other.

James Madison, AKK: the “author” of the Constitution

William Rawle quickly gained a reputation as an able attorney, eventually serving as chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar from 1822 until his death. As a Federalist he served a term in the Assembly, but found that politics were not to his liking. After his 1791 appointment by George Washington as U.S. District Attorney for Pennsylvania, Rawle handled the prosecutions stemming from the whiskey riots in the western part of Pennsylvania. He stepped down from this office in 1799.

In 1829, he wrote A View of the Constitution. In this work, he addresses what the term “natural born citizen” means on page 86:

Therefore every person born within the United States, its territories or districts, whether the parents are citizens or aliens, is a natural born citizen in the sense of the Constitution, and entitled to all the rights and privileges appertaining to that capacity…Under our Constitution the question is settled by its express language, and when we are informed that, excepting those who were citizens, (however the capacity was acquired,) at the time the Constitution was adopted, no person is eligible to the office of president unless he is a natural born citizen, the principle that the place of birth creates the relative quality is established as to us.

William Rawle

Who was the doctor that delivered Obama in the U.S.? Where is the nurse stepping forward to tell us the story? Surely a mixed race baby was unusual at that time.

Obama wasn’t born in the U.S. most likely. Hawaii allowed parents to give the info for the birth certificate. We’ve never seen the original and we likely never will.

NBC goes through the father, according to the Framers of the Constitution. Obama and Cruz - neither are NBCs.
