Ted Cruz is not eligible to be president

Donald Trump is actually right about something: Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) is not a natural-born citizen and therefore is not eligible to be president or vice president of the United States.

Cruz is, of course, a U.S. citizen. As he was born in Canada, he is not natural-born. His mother, however, is an American, and Congress has provided by statute for the naturalization of children born abroad to citizens. Because of the senator’s parentage, he did not have to follow the lengthy naturalization process that aliens without American parents must undergo. Instead, Cruz was naturalized at birth. This provision has not always been available. For example, there were several decades in the 19th century when children of Americans born abroad were not given automatic naturalization.

Obama seems to have played up the notion he was a foreigner when dissing America among his classmates and his book editor sure thought he was born in Kenya (even put it in his bio).

So, what do you suppose was the first national anthem that young Ted Cruz ever sang? Oh Canada or The Star Spangled Banner?

It was because they recognized that by being born somewhere other than on US soil, they themselves were not Natural Born Citizens and it obviously would have been preposterous to have excluded themselves from being eligible. they were our forefathers after all.

Nobody born prior to the adoption of the Declaration, even if born in America, had been born to an American parent who was an American citizen.

Such a distinction did not exist at that time. This author is trying to conflate situations which are unrelated to each other.

The fact is, an American citizen having a child when that citizen is outside of the country does not suddenly impose some kind of naturalization requirement on that child.

It's illogical on its face. Such a child, according to American legal precedent, is a citizen at birth and at no time does any naturalization process ever occur.

Thus, Ted Cruz, having been born to an American mother while in Canada, was a citizen at birth, that is, natural born.

Ted Cruz was never naturalized, and, given that he was born an American citizen, he was, therefore, a natural born citizen.

Live it. Learn it. Love it.

So, good luck with all that, Cruz birthers (and Washington ComPost leftists). And good luck citing Blackstone and anybody else in your feeble efforts to create a controversy where none indeed exists.

Our government says that in order to be a NBC, BOTH parents MIST be American citizens at the time that the child is born! Ted's father didn't become an American citizen until 2005 !

Our Government, the government of the USA, gives out study guides to those who must pass a test to become naturalized citizens. In said guide, OUR GOVERNMENT clearly states that BOTH PARENTS MUST BE AMERICAN CITIZENS, AT THE TIME OF THE BIRTH OF A CHILD, IN ORDER FOR THAT CHILD TO BE ELIGIBLE TO RUN FOR THE PRESIDENCY !

Obama’s real father was Frank Marshall Davis. Obama was born in Hawaii after it became a State. So Obama is a NBC. The fake birth certificate was to cover that up. Adding to Obama’s problems was that he went to college as a foreign student. That is why his college records are sealed. The Social Security number was from a dead guy in Conneticut. Probably arranged by his grandmother.
