Eccl 10:2 enjoys going into threads about sports, telling Freepers how bad they are to watch sports, and threads like this to remonstrate Freepers about watching movies.

I might mention that the computer he or she uses (either Windows or Mac) or the software they use to post on FR, or the network they connect through are run or developed by raging leftists who either give scads of money to ultra liberal causes and/or subscribe to the most heinous liberal PC claptrap they subject their employees to.

What is that quote by Menken (Oh wait, he was a lefty lunatic too, so I probably shouldn’t quote him) “Puritanism. The haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy.”

>First movie I’ve ever seen actually shot in more than two inches of snow. The wilderness scenes are awesome.<

Go see The Hateful Eight. It’s got deep snow and outstanding scenery.

I too hope DiCaprio gets an Oscar for his incredible portrayal of Hugh Glass.

I also hope and pray that he does not use his acceptance speech to deliver a sophomoric left-wing neo-moonbat lecture. Just thank God, your parents and your director and go home.

I agree. He is a barking moonbat, but I did enjoy his portrayal of Howard Hughes in “The Aviator”.

That is VERY funny. :-)

I saw it tonight and was not all that impressed. Way over the top in terms of man v. nature and a little short on credibility. One minute, Leo is inside a horse for survival, next he is in a coat that looks like it came off the rack from LL Bean. I also thought Tom Hardy gave Leo a run for his money in the acting department. A Man Called Horse, Jeremiah Johnson are (were) worthy competitors in the mountain man genre.

I was disappointed DiCaprio really didn’t get raped by the bear.

I dunno. Jeremiah Johnson and Deliverance are both fine films in their own right. Not sure I want to see a "mash-up".

"Skin him, Pilgrim! / Squeal like a pig!"

Agreed. And add the the list “What’s eating Gilbert Grape” when he was young, and “The Departed.”

A remake of this...which was a damn good movie.

Speaking of remakes, is anyone else looking forward to "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies?"

With your first words you say I “enjoy” what I do, and in you last you say I fear someone might be happy. Interesting.

Just trying to flush out the RINOs and the hypocrites. Looks like I found some.

I downloaded it from the Internet and watched it at home. At the end it was okay but I was glad I didn’t pay a movie theaters price to see it. They took a LOT of liberties with the real story. I also liked another movie based on a real story, Bridge of Spies, much better than The Revenant.

I have never seen Django, but looked up the clip where DiCaprio accidentally stabs himself in a scene, but keeps on acting while blood is pouring from his hand. That is a whole heap of self control and professionalism. That is what the old school live comedy and drama actors had to do.

He should stay in character and just grunt. ;)

Django is a great movie. If taken for entertainment. You should give it a watch. The German is great, and DiCaprio is amazing at the dinner scene.

Hahaha...you called me a RINO!

That made me feel young! I am supposed to now say “And you’re a liberal!”

Did that make you feel bad? (If it did, how would that be different from how you normally feel about everything? How could you tell?)
