I hate taking laptops apart and putting them back together even more.
Inexpensive tablets seem to be the wave of the future for me for anything remotely portable.
“I hate taking laptops apart and putting them back together even more.”
Indeed. I basically won’t repair a laptop anymore other than replacing the keyboard, RAM, HD, optical drive, sometimes the WiFI module.
But a GOOD laptop will last years and years and years. I’ve used Panasonic laptops now for a long time. Builtin 3-year USA warranty and support. My old XP ones still work, but bought new ones anyway to get more powerful hardware, W7, etc.
